As a general rule of thumb, 1 tooth on the pinion = 3 teeth on the spur.

So if you are down three on the spur, 87 to 84 and used to run and 18t,
I'd try 17t and see how it feels.

So 17t pinion for the 84t spur?

Yep.

ok...thanks. Think I'll need any timing or boost for the 7.5T with that gearing ?

Ran my truck on a medium to high bite damp clay track this weekend. My truck worked great, could maybe use a little more steering. My kids truck is still too loose. I swear to god, no setting I can change will make it steer less. I have gone longer on the camber links, stiffened the suspension, move weight around with lead and the pack position and it is always the same. I tried to copy my sc10 setup to my kids, but no good. they just dont handle the same. I took my tires off and out it on her truck and still different. I give up. I think I will just give her my truck and sell hers, lol.

I doubt it. :)

I run a 6.5t with an 84t spur and 19t pinion and I actually have it turned down a lot. :)

Take some droop out with limiters in the shocks. Works like a charm.

Wildcat1971 12-31-2012 08:02 PM

I assume you mean limiters in the rear to prevent as much weight moving forward?

Jokermayhem 12-31-2012 08:04 PM

Anybody ever try mounting all the electronics in the middle of the chassis ??? Kinda like the TLR 22SCT ??? pros? cons ?

Thats how mine is set up. Battery all the way forward, esc behind the battery. I'm running the lipo battery strap, and it fits right over the dtx de10 esc.

How is it? pros? cons?

I would take out 1mm of droop all the way around. To cut down on rear to front weight transfer as well as side to side.
