Also, exotek release some pretty sexy hubs for the sc10/t4/b4. vertical ball studs are sexy.

A guy at the track had some. They had less play than the AE ones. But they do not come with grub screws. Just better tolerances. Racers edge makes a set with grub screws. But they are A hub only. Which is fine if you race on a loose outdoor track. I put grub screws in my AE hubs and they are still junk. My t4 runs the plastic B44 hubs and I love those. so nice to no wobble. But I dont think a lot of people use zero deg A hubs on the sc10. That is why I didnt mention that. In fact, I think the exoteks are zero deg only. In any case, i would never recommend the AE hubs. I cant imagine anything could be worse.

If anyone has experience with vertical ball stud hubs I would like to hear about them good or bad, exotec, racers edge, etc. Looking to pick up a set to try out. currently running AE 0* with the screws. |
do you like the 0 deg hubs? In all honesty. I used to run the Losi vertical stud hubs back when I owned a xxx buggy. The issue I had was snapping the studs off in the hub and struggling to get them out. Heck, I am snapping studs off in my ubrace and it is plastic. But that is all I can speculate on the long term. That is what I liked about the AE hubs. The top hub is replaceable. It just sucks that they are sloppy as hell.

umm, are you sure you want the AE alum hubs? they really do suck. They are all loose and floppy. What toe are you looking for on the hubs? Also, exotek release some pretty sexy hubs for the sc10/t4/b4. vertical ball studs are sexy.
http://www.exotekracing.com/b4-b44-s...-rear-hub-set/ Exotek products are very nice, I have several items from them and they were all perfect except one carbon piece that was cut slightly off. Hot racing and racers edge also have good quality aluminum parts. Just stay away from the integy ones, the almuinum is soft and they wear out fast. |

I don't know what you are talking about, you ran the factory team aluminum hubs? I run them on both my t4.1 and sc10. They have zero slop on the hinge pin and bearings, so where is this slop you complain about?
