The 4s I'm running is about 385-390grams (13.5oz) and the setup I have posted works great with my light weight 4s. I'm looking at getting a heavier 4s, but the buggy is so nibble with the lighter one in it, especially outdoors I can clear some of the bigger triples and quads easier.
I tested out the SMC 4600 shortly and was quite happy. I haven't run a SMC since I was comparing cell printouts on packs before building them Punch was great, 2/3 the weight of my ~5200, and the option to tune via the position in the chassis. I like a lot of grip up front in the corners, so I put about 1/3 foam in the front and 2/3 in the back, shifting the chassis weight forward just slightly. I had 14.52v left after a good hard 12:00 run at one of the local tracks. I still have a jerky nitro trigger occasionally, and I'm heavy on the throttle. I have to look, but I think 70-80% limit on the Tekin Gen2. I would mind seeing a standard length LIPO, but less height keeping that weight down, improving inside body airflow, and avoiding the use of foam spacers. We don't do a bunch of warmup laps before races, so I would have no concerns with going 10m on this one.
That being said, Tekno, I would really like to see a optional tray for both vehicles that have the straps just cross in the middle (not two the short ways). I will probably try it out myself, but it is limited due to the screws in the middle.
Track I'm referring to. There are a lot of smaller obstacles that are hard to see on the picture, but a lot of it is hammer down:

did they make a new motor mount. One that the thin "rails" don't break? if so what is the part number.

yea I have been through three of them. the bottom left rail snaps right off when I am sliding the motor in or out.

So I got a RX8 gen 2 after accidentally frying my original RX8, soldered it up and set it up last night. Then I noticed my front wheels didn't do a little twitch after the esc was turned on so I rocked the steering wheel with no movement, my servo was shorted out . So now I ordered a new servo. This has been an expensive "rebuild" from the last time I was at the track. This has nothing to do with my new eb48.2, it's been a great buggy, I'm just frustrated and wanted to write a little sob story

On a side note on the rear diff issue has any sct410 ppl who upgraded rear case have any breaking issues also?
Hi John,
Thank you very much,
It's a surprise for me, was sure you had a smaller configuration, for motor and lipos. I think the Traktion drive helps to a smoothy acceleration.
Bye !

Im the one that posted the pics with the CF tower broken from a case break...
I didnt post it to start anything...
They need to know what breaks. It def seems to be a common issue. They will and are looking into it Im sure.
I know you guys dont know me besides for Pete, but I can assure you if I did something to deserve this id fess up. We run on an indoor track with small 10th scale style jumps. I dot wreck much if at all and usually in the top 3 drivers. Been racing 8th scale for 10 years.
Am i miffed it happened, no... I hope they can take all these cases of it cracking and use it for make a better part or figure out if its a material issue.
I am upset about the tower lasting 10 min... that wasnt a cheap buy. Ill live tho..
Last thing I want is for everyones fur to get stroked backwards. this car is still in its infancy and is already by far leaps and bounds better and more innovative than ANYTHING out there.
Keep up the great work TEKNO, you have a loyal customer...

yes true..but with all the claims of a broken diff housing lately it is obviously a design flaw. I agree Tekno will surely have a fix as they upgrade their kits with what works automatically which is why I went full Tekno. I just hope they admit the flaw is theirs and take care of this recent rash of diff failures.
As you can see the plastic is just not wide enough to support the stress the bolts that hold the housing together endure. I measure about 2mm or so at the outside edges of the bolts. The top however I was unable to get an accurate reading due to the thinness of the plastic....Im guessing .1-.2 mm of plastic above where the screw that holds the diff case together. It is .1-.2 mm of plastic! This is a design flaw without a doubt. Tekno needs to add an additional 2 mm of plastic on top of the screw that holds the diff cases together. If your diff has not broke yet.... I can guarantee that it will if yours is like this.
