I'd start at 7/10/5, but the factory is Ramos' home track I'm sure he'll chime in soon

Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima is a bad ass up Pikes Peak. He was the first to break the ten minute mark in the unlimited class. I was he'd have stayed in the fast car instead of the electric crap.

Just starting in racing with ebuggy and sct and went to a race at leisure hours and Randy should be in a class all his own. In the 2 races I saw him in with sct and ebuggy he lapped the entire field twice from what I saw...Tekno should be proud to have him as a team driver.

Also thanks to all for the responses on my previous post. I have recently purchased an eb48.2 with tekin gen 1 rx8 and t8 1900 kv motor for my son. Am looking at batteries now for it but unsure what size (mah) we should go with starting out. Looking to run 4s for 8 minute mains. Thx.

Battery use varies or rack and driving style. That being said anywhere from 300-500 mah per minute is pretty normal, with 500 on the super aggressive all the time end. Getting a larger pack is never a bad thing, most 6000 or 6500 mah packs are about the same weight and the same size as 5000 packs. I've used the gens ace and GeForce packs and they were ok, but the smc is my current favorite for performance, and they're great prices too. The GeForce or an Eco pack from amain are probably the best super budget packs though.

I've been using the SMC batteries also. I really like them so far. My brother and a few other guys at the my local track have switched over to them and everyone really seems to like them. We're using the 6500 70c 4s packs. Runtime and punch are great on these batteries.

Another SMC fan here, I'm running the SMC 6500 4s packs in my EB-48 and have been very impressed and happy with them.

I don't have mine yet until Monday. But I run Smc in my corr and my son corr and I will have the 7200 mah to power my eb48 lite buggy.

I am thinking of doing a 3s setup in my buggy with a high 2000kv sct motor. Has anyone given this any thought? It would be like a ebuggy light but with 3s.

I've been running 3s/5400mah with T8 2650 kv for a couple years and love it. Prob a good 10 min runtime, and more than enough power for most tracks, I would imagine a 550 4-pole would be awesome like this as well, thought about it myself also, but it wouldn't be legal for super lite, and may be too much of a disadvantage on some tracks for the reg 1/8 class.

Thats what I was thinking. Use a 4pole 550 motor. I will have to look at the weight of motor, esc and lipo. I may be close to the 7lbs mark.

Randy C at. Leisure , I saw him race both classes as well and he was in a class of his own. TEKNO should take a close look at him. I came from Indiana to race and he was very helpful and super consistent in his lines.

Hey just a basic setup question for those that have been running these for a while.. do you have your rear droop screw out pretty far? In order to get the 120mm on the rear that most setups are calling for you need to limit the droop pretty good, a lot more than I'm use to doing. Not necessarily an issue, but it did seem odd.. I know these buggies have issues if you don't take droop out of them in regards to wear and breaking shafts so reading between the lines this is most likely normal. BTW to copy the measured droop I assume like most other setups it's just the distance between the shock bottom screw to the center of the shock top mount while the vehicle has no compression (ie on a stand). Thx!

+1. I think they did already.
