The BCE chassis allows for a battery position as close to the center diff as possible, with the further forward position of the battery about where the furthest back position is of the stocker. IMHO, the BCE placement of the battery is much more optimal. Coupled with the extra flex of the BCE, and the more rearward option of the battery placement, it will lead to a much more planted vehicle. The achilles heel of the Tekno is the rear traction, as it has more than enough steering with almost every settup. Adding rear traction is very welcome, and will reduce the need for the excessive rear toe that most run. Not saying that people can't dial in a stock chassied EB for their particular track, just saying the BCE chassis opens up a whole different set of options that is well worth the price of admission 

I have been testing one of the BCE chassis as well and really like the effect it has on corner exit rear traction. I actually wound up making some setup adjustments to free the back end up a little on corner entry and mid corner to get a little more rotation. But damn is it locked down on power on exit. I can get back on the gas way sooner and WAY harder than I could with the stock chassis. Really liking it so far. I only have one race day on it and want to do a bit more setup, but man it was a huge improvement in rear end on power traction which was really the only thing I could never really get figured out.

Other than making a new specific mudguard there's not much else that can be done. It's still fully functional and since most people aren't using mechanical brakes losing the back part of the mudguard doesn't hurt.

Building my .2 kit and noticing that the diffs feel like #$&% compared to the diffs I built in my SCT410 kit...They are super notchy feeling and have way too much clearance between side and spider gears compared to the SCT kit...They almost lock up when you first start turning the outdrives due to the teeth trying to ride up to the peaks of the gears instead of a good deep mesh with each other...I guess I will break out the diff sun and planet gear shims in my collection and start shimming...Anyone else have this experience?

Ah, I see what you're getting at. I was replying to the fact the BCE makes chassis and it was a little unreasonable to expect them to have a special battery tray just for their chassis.

Iam building my eb48.2 now bit by bit and enjoying it
Maybe drop the mechanical brake option if it has not been that popular and re design the battery tray to move up and down like the nb48 motor adjusting ability
By dropping brake feature in mould it will give you more overall adjustability but you have the center diff to deal with to this will limit the movement down the chassis.
What if the centre diff was to be turned around as standard it will place a little more weight to the rear to help with added rear traction but as a penalty you will have to use a long shank pinion but will give you more room for tray to slide downwards!
I quess there's a few things for tekno to think about

A new mould for the side with the battery tray adjusted back, along with an open diff would be great.
Make the new mould and open diff standard and keep the current units as options for those few running mechanical brakes.
I guess we coins deemed some battery strap holes further back and smooth down the tray to allow placement further back on the current tray.
