Quick question to all Tekno guys...are most people running a modified battery tray yo run the battery back? Similar to what guys are doing on the sct410? Thanks for the help!

For loose conditions, we recommend putting in the steering stops to limit steering. Recently we've been putting 3 or 4 washers (TKR1221) behind the button head screw to accurately set the steering stops left/right. This is on Step I-1. Make sure to reset your EPA after doing this. This has the same effect as reducing your dual rate, but positively limiting travel and reducing wheel wobble under power.

Another thing that seems to help in all conditions is flipping the outside steering pivot ball so that it is in the down position. We are doing this to create a bump-in condition. Bump-in really smooths out the car. You will
need to increase toe-out after you do this.

We've been running A LOT of bump-in lately and the results are pretty
remarkable. You can get more bump-in by lowering the pivot ball as much as possible on the steering block (put washers on top), and/or raising the pivot ball on the Ackermann plate (put washers on bottom).

Another setting we've changed has been going to the inside shock mounting hole on the front arm. This creates more steering without upsetting the rest of the car.

Lastly, dial in some more front droop. The car will land better, handle bumps better, and be more stable on-power in loose conditions.

We are testing a couple other things and we will post up a new setup sheet in a week or so. Stay tuned.

Hi tekno

How far away is the new set up sheet !

Doesn't need anything upgraded out of the box... the EB48.2 comes with some SWEET hopups included in the kit. Read the specs of the added parts on Teknos site. This buggy flat out performs.

If your looking at Xray and Tekno I would compare parts like possible spares, for example Xray arms compared to Tekno arms or even the Spur gear.

Haha here we go again. Simply "no." And nor is it necessary to hack up a sct410 either but some find it helps, idk where the idea came from but with proper suspension tuning there is no need for this mod. fortunately replacing the battery tray is cheap if you do want to try it.

...don't mean to sound brash, just cry when I see a beautiful precision engineered tekno hacked up.

By the way Tekno, When can we get a 1/10 4wd buggy based on the EB48? I like the direction S-Workz has gone, but I love your forward battery design concept and curious to see what you can do! would love an EB410!
JUST buy the conversion kit. I put on mine and its basically just like my eb48. Love it, you could also put a bigger motor and you got an eb48

1) The car is very stable, super tunable, and is very nimble.
2) Sorry, no XB9 experience.
3) A aluminum servo horn.
4) Yes

I run the battery mod in my sct and don't think the buggy would benefit from the extra reward weight like the truck does. The wing and wing mounts kind of take care of that already.

Your missing the point, I am looking for them to make a 1/10 4wd buggy that is legal for the class.

EXACTLY... we want a true 1/10 buggy 2wd or 4wd but even if we did the conversion than I lose the ability to drive my short course.

heck, on thing I wonder though is with a different chassis, could you make another even more scaled down buggy based on the EB48 / SCT410 platform. May not be possible, but a thought.

I think you're confusing what is wanted.
You're correct that the 4WD SC and the 8th scale buggy are just about the same.

However a 10th scale buggy (what they're asking for, and not currently being shipped by Tekno) is much smaller, and can't just be converted to.

I would be happy if they could keep the layout somehow so I can run normal stick packs. Didn't like having to dig up a saddle pack that I can only use in the one car. Plus gear diffs would be nice for FL.

+1. Maybe a setup that has a stick pack option, but, with the whole shorty thing you can run the shorty "forward".

Definitely gear diffs too. Maybe they could even run with say a slipperential style diff.

the xb4 runs dual saddles in the rear right?

what I was looking for from tekno is if they would continue there forward battery design into a 1/10 scale. That would be very interesting to me at least.
