I have been running this same car for a year now. Really loving this thing. Not bad shape for a year old right.

I like those blue collars you have on the swaybars, I might have to copy that, if I can find some red or orange ones

Yea these cars hold up well, I love how easy it is to clean, 8 screws and the electronics come off in one piece, spray it down and use the air compressor to dry it off.

Brilliant design!!!!

When you say "spray it down", do you mean water, simple green,or something else? I've sprayed mine down with water and simple green and the result isn't very astounding. The simple green (half water half simple green solution in a spray bottle) leaves a kind of dull faded look and leaves some residue of the spray behind. The water didn't really clean those tough spots. Either way, i've never got the "showroom new" look all you guys' cars have. What is a good household solution that yields good results?

WD-40 and an airhose works great.

I spray it down with the trakpower pink bottle and use a brush to get the gnarly areas. Then I'll take a garden hose and blast the rest off. I use the sidekick to dry it. Then lube the bearings and outdrives with the trakpower dry lube.

This is the sidekick, it's awesome!

I use Simple Green and water initially with a tooth brush/fine brush, and then a light coating of WD-40 with a compressor after and it looks like new.

I use a Hobbywing Ezrun WP SC8 120A speed controller and a Leopard 4074 2000kV motor powered by 4S. I use the stock differential oil viscosities: 7k front, 5k center and 3k rear.

I would really appreciate your opinion and look forward to any clues or ideas.

Thanks a lot in advance!
Ever figure out what was causing the noise? I havent had a chance to go thru mine since yesterdays race but mine started making the same type of "deep, vibe noise" on power. I have 7/10/5 diffs but going to try 5/5/3 to see if it helps calm her down in bumpy corners. Everything else is great, It's been either KYO orange F/yellow R or lt.blue F/green R w/40/35 TLR oil and blue CSI pistons.

Has anyone ever tried Pledge? I know it sounds crazy but when I worked at a bicycle shop in college that's what we used to clean all the filth off bikes for service tuneups. It worked great and then left a super light layer of wax so dirt wouldn't stick to the bike/parts as easily and then when you went to wipe it down it cleaned off easier.

anyone try the heavy diff setups?? I kinda like it. 10 - 15 - 7 . I am used to driving a mugen and it handled like a fat lady covered in lead balloons. So running the tekno with light diffs is kinda tough for me. Heavy helped make it easier to drive in my opinion
