I bought one from here -

http://www.ampdraw.com/product/37729...races-Rear-1.5

Was skeptical as it's out of stock everywhere, but is scheduled to arrive tomorrow.

Amp draw is owned by Shane who used to own rctech.. He is a very reputable shop, and I'm pretty sure his inventory is all setup live, more known in the on road scene as he usually sets up at the vegas Iic race

I know truggy motors can fit with an RX8, and I know buggy motors fit with the r8, but I don't know about truggy with the R8 (not saying it won't, just that I don't know).

Is anybody else running the combo of a Viper VTX8 and a Tekin 1900, or similar size 4 pole motor?

If so, could you post a pic of your layout please?

That is the combo I will be running. I got the ESC mounted up, and hope to finish the install of the motor tonight. Trying to decide if I want to leave the motor wires a little long so I can pull the motor easier than having to desolder all the time.

What is it you are wanting to see exactly?

Hey guys, I know this question has been asked in this thread but just a quick consensus on everyones preferred 4s Lipo to run in the EB48? I am getting the .2 and want to get a new battery while I am at it. I currently run SMC and very happy just curious if anyone has better bang for the buck suggestions?

I just picked up two Venom 50c 5000 4s packs. Most places have them under 129

I've run Trinity & Reedy- all good batteries.
Now running ProTek 4S 4300mAh. They are around $130. Just beware I had to solder a Dean's connector on it.

I run a protek 4300, and so far its the best battery I have owned to date.

Charging this pack on my PL8 I see an internal resistance on the cells of .09 to 1.3, this is the lowest I have seen a pack charged on PL8

Gobs of power when needed, 100C discharge

6 min qualifiers I use 45%
8 minutes I use around 60%

Castle MM 100% power, 3.5 volt cutoff, 10 Degrees normal timing, High power start, 100% brake, 0% Drag brake, linear curves.

can you run the new, updated rear trans housing with old, angle cut diff/pinion gear or if you use the new diff case do you have to run the new straight cut stuff?
