From the bible of off-road tuning: Hudy Off-Road Set-Up Book

You can adjust the characteristics of the differentials by using thinner or thicker silicone oil within their cases.
• Changing the oil in the front differential affects overall steering response.
• Changing the oil in the center differential affects the front-to-rear drive.
• Changing the oil in the rear differential affects cornering traction and overall steering.

FRONT
Thinner
• Increases steering into corners (off-power)
• If oil is too thin the steering may become inconsistent, especially it can lose forward traction (and steering) during acceleration out of corners

Thicker
• Increases stability into corners during braking
• Increases steering on-power at corner exit

CENTER
Thinner
• Front wheels unload more during acceleration
• Decreases on-power steering (reduces oversteer)
• Easier to drive on rough tracks
• If a high-power engine is used you could waste too much power and sometime “cook” the oil in the center differential because it “overloads”
• More off-power steering

Thicker
• More all-wheel drive effect
• Better acceleration
• Increases on-power steering (reduces understeer)
• Better suited on high-bite, smooth tracks
• Car can be more nervous to drive especially if a high power engine is used - you might need to be smooth on the throttle

REAR
Thinner
• Increases cornering traction
• Increases steering into corner

Thicker
• Decreases rear traction while cornering
• Reduces wheelspin

and one more thing ...
if the v2 version truely going to be released soon and being built on a fully design ( assuming that sale is pointed towards getting rid of the in stock spare parts if the 1st version ), this would be a major mistake b/c releasing a new version that isn't compatible with the previous version parts isn't a good idea. the old spare parts will be unsold forever

EXACTLY ! This buggy is less than a year old , I see a minimum of 2 more years before a V2 would be released and even then I dont think it would be a total redesign .

Maybe a couple people saw a picture of the next tekno rc and assumed it was a fresh design.

I personally would be upset if there were a v2 this early...I'm sure they'll fine tune the v1 for years to come. Why wouldn't they? Its the hottest thing out there. An expensive premium kit with most of the option parts would be sick.

The sale on parts/kits going on could be to battle the sales of other buggies recently released...would be funny to have a sale every time a buggy is released by other companies.

All guesses.

Haha I like this guy ^^^^ I see on Door"s setup his camber is 2 front and 3 rear. Is that positive or negative? I didn't think anyone ran positive camber but in reality I am very new to 1/8 scale electric! Thanks for any info

I was wondering about arm sweep. Ive moved them once in a while, but cant really see the point. I don't want to re-tune my setup to see how well i can get it in, because i dont really understand it. What does it do/ where would i want to use it. I'm good with...Do this, you will dig it....not the technical terms. So dumb it down for me
thanks in advance

Swept back = easier to drive
swept forward = more aggressive.

Also by sweeping arms back it will help lock in the rear a bit (if u dont have wheel spin ) by slowing down the responceiveness for the front by placing more weight over the front wheels .
