Any input on the purpose and effects of the new shock mount holes on the new XT arms?

It makes it so that you don't lose any droop when going from the center (stock) hole to the outer hole.

What is everybody doing about the weak servo saver spring? Just tightening it down more or is there an option part to fix this?

Any word on these? I like that they are molded so they have the nipples that fit into the screw seats in the chassis. If that makes sense lol.

Jessie,
I think the manual said 2mm from end to collar, I just went to like 5mm. I didn't tighten it down like the only thing I have seen suggested. I want to keep my servo

So I guess we will see at the track... Hopefully tomorrow. If it don't work for us we might have to scour around and find some springs in town.

I got a spring from a drum brake hardware kit. I used the shoe hold down spring. I cut, flattened, and ground it to fit. So far after a few race days on a crazy high bite track, no problems.

Just go to any repair shop and see if they have some loose springs laying around. Bring your old spring to get the diameter right.

I thought tekno has fixed this problem with the servo saver spring in the second run!

If its still weak fix it tekno provide a better servo saver spring as an option

Are

TKR5140/TKR5141 (Differential Gear Set (internal gears only)/Differential Cross Pins (6pcs))

and

TKR5150/TKR5149 (Differential Gear Set (6pcs, requires TKR5149 pins)/Differential Cross Pins (6pcs, requires TKR5150 gears))

fully interchangable both ways?

Is it recommended to replace the differential case (TKR5113 (Tekno RC Differential Case)) when replacing the gear set and cross pins?

The track was rough and rutted from the truggies, it made things a bit more difficult for the e/buggies.

TKR5140 and TKR5141 must be used together.

TKR5150 and TKR5149 must be used together.

You cannot intermix these two sets, 5149 is larger in diameter than 5141 and 5150 has a larger hole than 5140. Both sets of gears and pins fit inside the same diff case.
We recommend using a new diff case when switching to the new gears/pins as there might be some wear (divots from the cross pins) on the slots in the diff case. If your diffs are fairly new and don't have a lot of runs on them they should be fine, no need to swap in new ones.
The main reason we went with the bigger pins was so that we could put the flat spots on the ends. The flat spot creates more surface area in contact with the diff case which distributes the load over a greater area. Less shaft deflection under load, less notching and wear on the case, longer lasting diffs.

Is Austin Blair using a full pack or dual shorties?

Yah the spring is still weak...also on my buggy and woodys buggies today I noticed that the steering doesn't center very well even though the servo is...I figured its probably the two plastic saver halves sticking together or riding on a flat spot....which is no good...I turn to the left and it sticks to the left a bit...and same when I turn back to the right...I have my endpoints set correctly also so its not forcing it out of place...I would love to see someone make the upper half of the saver out of aluminum...

Other than that the buggy was awesome...puts my rc8.2 to shame IMO...also today was around 55 degrees and neither buggy broke an arm and we have a nice track with big jumps...right now there's a jump that shoots you up 12 feet and out 30-40.

Edit: I stripped the factory servo horn really easily also so I definitely recommend an aftermarket part here like the hot bodies one that everybody seems to be running
