WOW

This thing looks insanely good. The driver made that really difficult rythm section look so east.
And REALLY at 2:00

That part was definitely sick and I would be willing to bet it has a lot to do with the very short overhang that tekno engineered into the design. I am really looking forward to getting this buggy and trying it out with a 2s setup for some indoor fun. I think it will be very light with a 540 4 pole motor and a good high discharge 2s lipo. I used to run my V4D8 with with the tekno clutch and mechanical brakes. It drove just like a nitro buggy and was really easy to drive hard into corners.

Well the SCTEs' are around 7 pounds with body and battery so I bet this would be a good candidate... Or even a 4000 on 3S would be a rocket! 2S would be plenty fast too!

Well, from my past experience with a 2s in my Hyper 9e the car was really easy to drive at the limit of my skill. I felt like I was way more consistent when driving very hard. Honestly, to me it was just more fun to drive like this than to baby it around with a powerful 4s setup. The thing I didn't like about the hyper 9e was the inconsistent chassis response that the car seemed to always have. I don't know if it was the shocks or just the chassis design, but I always had a heck of a time keeping that car rubber side down. The slightest variation in track surface would upset the balance of the car especially on power through corners. If the track was nice and smooth it was a really fast car around the corners, but a whole different story when the track was not perfect.

I have allready an ultra light electric losi 810. it's around 6.5pound and powered with 3s lipo and castle 3800kv 1410 motor. It's very smooth and top speed is incredible but there is a lack of torque I used to have during racing with my regular tekno mbx6 1/8 buggy outdoors. I'm not faster with losi on a blown out track with big jumps and every little contact with other cars drives my car very easily out of the line while the other car keeping it's line. It's a big disadvantage during racing. So when I get tekno buggy I would prefer heavier 1/8 setups to deal with other 1/8 buggies especially for outdoor tracks. Lighter means not allways faster

I tried a 2S setup with a SC4X motor in 5.5 on a lightened 808 that weighted 6,6Ibs. This was a 550 can 2 pole motor which had just been released at this time. I lacked of torque but I would say the last Pro4 or a 1415 would be perfect. I prefer higher voltage setups generally but for indoor application it would be more than enogh power for the EB48. I would like to see a 2700kv 4 pole short course motor in this buggy with a 3S lipo or a 4000kv in 2s.
This said the difference in weight is not massive comparing a 1400kv in 5S setup for example.
I use a 298g lipo and get 12 minutes runtime of it in 5S. The T8 4030 weight 341g. So this is 639g
I don't know how much mah you would need to get 12 minutes in 2S in a 1/8 but the system would need way more amps than in 5S so the lipo would weight about the same. A 1415 weights 301g. The difference would be much higher with a Pro 4 that is 100g less.. This is just to say that there will be a limit for outdoor tracks. A mmp and T8 4030 motor makes the car already very light. Testings testings..

Of course it´s a nice thing to try a 2S or 3S setup.
But in my opinion the most impressive thing of that buggy is
the focus on the weight distribution that Tekno Engineering made
And i am not sure if a 2s or 3s would than be the right way?

Here's Blair running it and beating the rest of the competition handily at my local track, NorCal Hobbies. When I talked to him a bit, he mentioned that just switching to the new car dropped a couple seconds off of his lap times, and he was still working out a couple things to get even faster with it. You can really see the increased cornering speed in a few spots of this. Enjoy!

I agree. I have a Losi 810E buggy that I goof around with and I run it on a 3S battery with a Castle 3800KV motor. The latter 3S setup may be ok for indoor with smaller jumps, but I think a slightly heavier buggy will be better for outdoor tracks. My beef with this lighter buggy is that it flips over more than it should. I will install a 4S battery and change the motor to add weight. I would try the Teckno on 4S first as it was designed for that.

Wow, that buggy looks very nice on the track along with mad driver skills. He def. walked all over his competition that day. Hope it is as good in the average Joe's hands like myself. Tekno i think you need an avg. joe tester like myself......early ship please pretty please......
