To be honest, The rear arms are hard to break. The front will usually be the ones to let go. If they sold 1 front and 1 rear, you will definately end up with more rear arms than you will ever use. I only broke 1 front arm so far and so did my buddy. I havent heard of anyone breaking a rear yet. Just my oppinion.

Had a chance to show off the buggy at the East Coast Race Against Cancer this past weekend. The driver was way off but the buggy was spot on and anyone watching could see that. I had to bump into the main but with the level of competition that was there and not driving any RC car for 6 months minus a local club race last weekend I was pretty happy with the results. I ran the weekend without a single spare part in the box and had no issues. This car jumps and lands like no other buggy available right now and the corner speed is just flat out awesome.

I would like to try a little less pack but the LHS says they are having trouble getting the pistons till late Sept. I could order online but would rather support the LHS whenever possible. I’m nervous about drilling the piston and not being able to go back. I realize that most other 16mm pistons will fit but till I can get the stock ones locally which manufactures piston does anyone think would be the closest match to stock?

This car reminds me of a cat! I touched a car before takeoff and my car was upside down in the air and i was shitting bricks..... not one spare in my box! Well the car did a complete barrel roll and landed on the downslope of the jump! wow.... A few other times it landed on all fours after it was sideways! My first weekend out and i was a good second or more quicker than my eco same electronics! Three minor wrecks all day long! Cant wait to get it dialed in! Finished 3rd out of 14.. i havent had a boner this big on the drivers stand since i got the corally rdx years ago! Hope u guys follow up with a sct 4x4 truck

I've been using Associated tapered pistons. Although nothing can truly compare to the Tekno pistons becuase of their cone shape, the 10x1.1 pistons from Associated is close to stock. They also make an 8x1.3 set which I have been using with success. I have not tried the mix 1.1 and 1.2 pistons yet, although this sounds interesting, but it sounds like Daniel started off by making only 5 of the stock holes 1.2 and then he went ahead and made all 10 holes 1.2 and liked it better.

You have to slightly drill out the center hole of the Associated pistons for them to fit over the Tekno shafts.

I have been running Kyosho sp 8x1.3 pistons. Settles the car down a little. And the hole fits right on no drilling out the middle.

Just ordered my kit. Is the stock setup pretty good for a medium bite track or should I also order some option springs and swaybars?

I have a huge problem with the EB48...

I just started driving 8th scale when my EB48 showed up, after only beginning to drive RC in Feb, and I only qualified 3rd on Sunday. This is supposed to be a miracle car, and it can only pull out a 3rd place qualifier? Clearly the buggy must be bad, as making driver mistakes (especially later in the main) and having electronics glitches couldn't possibly affect performance at all. O:-)

...my problem is that the EB48 made me love 8th scale, and I can't get enough!

Maybe it really just needs a driver...Blair destroyed everybody with his by starting at the back of the pack.

Come see (and race with/against) a bunch of these things at the Off Road Kings event @ NorCal Hobbies this coming weekend!

Kevin,

The last time I talked to Austin he told me he is only using kit parts in his setup. I have a pretty good setup for NorCal if you'd like it. Kevin and Jesse both liked it when they drove it.
