Hands down the T4 handles better. I drive mine over my SC10 any time I get a chance and a full heat can form for club races. Its so much more fun to drive.

Gents does anyone know of a cheap (radio shack) cap for a tekin rs? I know I can order it directly from tekin but I need it by wed. We don't have a hobby shop within 100 miles so my choice is RadioShack, lowes, home depot, etc. thanks for any and all help

It's two different types of cars. The tires alone on the t4 vs the smaller tires on sc10 give the t4 better handling. I believe the t4 sits lower to the ground. I like my t4 over sc10 but enjoy both

What do you guys recommend for gearing with an 8.5 motor (medium/large indoor high bite clay track)? I will be running the new gen2 motor in my t4.1 soon (hopefullY) and just wanted to know what spur/pinions to pick up. Also any suggestion on esc settings as well as any motor timing? Sorry for all the questions this will be my first time running a mod motor.

It's a great starting point, should be easy to fine-tune from there. Just curious, what tires do you have?

No one really races mod truck at WCRC/OCRC/SDRC unless its a large event. I suggest picking up a 17.5 on the side guaranteed you'll be faster with that over mod.

Dont run any timing, an 8.5 motor will be BALLISTIC. If I had to guess what track you run at id start around 21-23/81 temp your motor after 3min and again at 5 mins and adjust for your zone. Ask your local track rep he will be more help than us internet mechanics.

Anyone got any tips on doing the 4th hole in the rear shock tower?
I have done it already but the shock hits the tower and can not mount up, even with heaps dremeled off the tower to try and clear the shock cap. should I space the top of the shock out also? or dremel half the tower away. This is with standard v2 shocks

I did the 4th hole inline with the rest, not lower

I did mine inline also. I was able to use a longer bolt and put a .06 spacer behind the shock bushing. I am also using the v2 shocks.

Thanks for the gearing suggestions I'll try them out, and I don't plan on racing on my t4.1 I only use it to have fun at the track.

Anyone notice AE's Brent Thielke running a modded T4.1 @ WCRC a few weeks back? Or has this been covered? Big bores with a very wide front tower, similar to a B44.2.
