Just got some new tires and wheels. What is the on track differance in open cell foam that comes with the tires and closed cell foam they sell extra?

A closed cell insert is generally less grippy but more consistent because they're firmer and support the tire better.

Closed cell works very well on truck...but they break down rather quickly.

Closed cell can also work great but not straight out of the package. Either you need have ran those foams through 2-3 sets of tires OR you punch holes or slit the insides of the foam with a dremel. By doing this you are able to 'soften' the foam to get back some grip while retaining the consistency of a closed cell foam.

I'm bought some bomb 1 foams and proline closed cells, have anyone used the bomb 1 in rear and proline up front. The bomb 1 are firmer so shouldn't they be placed in the rear?

The bomb1 won't be firmer for long. As well, you would need freakishly high grip to run closed cell in the front and not push all day long. On a medium bite indoor track, I run open cell in the front and then I now have two pair of otherwise identical rear tires, but one with open and one with closed cell that I switch back and forth between depending on bite that day.

I don't know if it's me or not but I can't find the roll pins in my kit. Anyone know, are these things in a completely different bag somewhere?

I'm stuck with out them.

Check out page 13, step 4 in the manual.

Damn, thanks a lot. The bag must have gotten separated. It wasn't with the wheel locks.

I was thinking they came with the CVA's? I always have extra since they like to fall out when I take the wheels off.

bone.........what are the trck conditions that you run on and what setup do you run? reason i ask is i guess im trying to get my st to turn like my buggy and sc and i dont. i have driven a lot of ppl st and mine seem to turn the best but i wnt more off pwr steering. i am running blue springs front and green rear. 32.5 oil ft and 27.5 rear. i even placed less aggressive rear tires so i can rotate a lil better. it dont push but i want it to rotate a tad bit more. shaved ubrace and c hubs on it with ballast rear and 1/4 oz in rear triangles 1/2 oz on servo and 1/4 oz ft triangles, shocks in on ft tower and in on arms, rear in the drilled hole on tower and in on arm. ive added a lil drag brake to help with off pwr steering as well not too much to i spin out or take my momentum away in the infield either. my brakes are set kinda low so i can slam brakes aon a 180 and whip around with out scrubbing speed. help mw bro ovrall my trucks feel good but in this particular section of my track that is one of two spots that make or break a very fast lap and a decent lap

My track is outdoor clay with kind of dusty but it usually watered for good traction when you stay in the groove. Get out of groove and your on ice skates.
My ST doesn't drive like my SC either. My fastest lap is with my ST but I'm more consistant with SC for some reason.
You can try a more aggressive from tire to grab a bit more or try using the A or B hub. The setup I'm running is the Brent T -SRS off the AE site, except I don't have shaved u-brace. I do plan on going to the shaved u-brace and c-hub since my rear is a bit loose. Plus I need to stiffen up the rear as well. Its to soft for the jumps on my track.
