I'm with you NitroFreck. Some people are just to fussy. If your having trouble bleeding shocks I would suggest that you change the method that you use or your caps need to be replaced. The shocks are fine, they may not be the best but they are far from the worst.

It's not like AE has re-invented the shock with there new design. What people don't understand is that you just don't go changing things all the time. It upsets both the consumers, shops and the manufacturers if you do that. How are to sell older versions of kits and parts. Then there are instruction to change and there is bound to be someone out there that turns around and says thats not the picture on the side of the box.

I know that I'll be buying a SC10 FT just to strip it of all the new parts.

Unless there is a New T4 V2 due soon....

cheers

Good to see AE followed Yokomo on this idea (and not too long after the caps either), now if they were to big bores life would surely rock!.
For the record the Yokomo shocks fit the B4

does anyone else notice more thread on the rear shock and less thread on the front? it looks like it to me, or does it just look that way because of the removable bottom cap?

AE is slightly thinner by weight. Look at the charts a few pages down on this site:

http://www.twf8.ws/php/index.php?opt...per&Itemid=175

There are a group of charts where the oils were measured with a Rheometer. The AE stuff is slightly thinner.

I've been running AE since I had the original graphite RC10. The AE shocks are fine and i've only ran into a couple issues ever building the shocks for 20 years. But I must say I'm pretty excited about the new shocks. It's still nice to see that AE is progressing even though the old shocks worked well but there's always rooms for improvement.

I'm pretty upset that I just spent money on the old FT T4 shocks for a SC10 I'm building.

I stand corrected. I was convinced I read other posts that said AE oil was slightly thicker

You probably did read that, many have had first hand experience of the AE oils resulting in heavier damping by weight (Opposite of what those charts indicate). It would be interesting if whoever did those tests to perform updated tests on different batches to see how much the standards fluctuate.
