I run @ 53.5 oz with about the same setup as the AE guys use with heavy stuff. My car is really fast. The biggest thing is not to over-motor it.
Here's a link, post it up.

Edit, I think I have the weight wrong, I believe I'm @ 55.5oz.

I've got 1oz. behind the rear bulkhead and 2.5oz along the right side of the battery both to add weight and offset the weight of the GTB on the other side.

If you run on low traction, larger tracks the "L" series motors can be good. They are like the triple wind version of BL motors. They do sacrafice total power, the 7.5L makes the same wattage as the 10.5 standard version. The 7.5 would have much more revability.
You will also find that BL motors, especailly the milder ones (8.5 through 17.5) like to be geared tall. They actually gain bottom end with taller gearing because they react well to the load. Be careful no to go too far, you will want to watch motor temps.
I run a 10.5 geared 25/81 and that's actually pretty low for that motor.

I'm currently gearing a 10.5 at 26/81 as of last week. Didn't know you could go that high but man what a difference! May go higher tomorrow in club racing.

For hard pack clay ...
and a 5000 Reedy Li-Po ....
Its a brand new set-up , and not developed by me.
I stole it from a Ae factory team driver just last week end....
he got it last Tuesday...
I`v use ballast & Li-Po for years until I drove my B-4 set-up this way ....
Anyone who has`nt tried this will be thanking me next week big time....
Strongly recommend you guys try ....

Has anyone tried the Trinity 13.5 BL motors in there T4/B4??? Should I gear it too the moon like everyone else does with their stock BL motors??
#6314
Thanks What up
Just as I thought, geared to the moon!!! I don't have any pinions that big. I have the 78 spur. I hope AE releases the new spur gears before Midwest Champs @ CRCRC.
