Thanks for the info...I was actually thinking about this setup because I can get a good deal on that motor...the problem is that they are sensorless which I hear is a little sputtery after the motor turns backwards. As I said I am new to the "new electric" ways so any help is greatly appreciated.

it's cheaper then that, 189.99 for esc and about 84.99 for the motor. You gonna get what you pay for and not esc's are created equal like nitro motors.

The losi excelerion is pretty good too.

I have a sidewinder & 5700 in my t4 and it has worked out well with no problems. But you get what you pay for. The sidewinder is like a old two stroke dirt bike.

I was in the same place about a month ago. I did swab to the t4 and i am happy with it. I think it feels alittle better and more aggressive which i like. But after i ran it once with the associated shocks i put my losi shocks and it was much better.

I've been happy with this setup. There's only like 2-3 things that are the same as stock setup. It's similar to the Trackside setup with slight changes.

Indoor, super high bite--clay, 6000mah Lipo---no weight added. Truck comes in at 1860grams on the scales. Yes, even with lipo it's way over weight. The shell alone adds 100g. The shell is the stock AE body.

That wont fit. Just to let you guys know, dont let your springs soak in oven cleaner while in an alluminum can. It melted right through it after about an hour. Not good at all. I got most of the paint off and it was a dull silver. I like how it looks.

your best bet esc/motor wise. would be a mamba and 5700 if your gonna be racing mod.. the esc is damn near indesctructable and is about 1000 times more adjustable. dont worry about the stutter. they preety much have it worked out. i roll my b4 backwards and get on the throttle slowly and it comes to a stop smoothly and accelerates forward smoothly. on the mamba you can set everything even throttle curves.

I ran the GT2 front end on my T4. It was fine, never drove it without it though. Its a big investment switching over, trust me I did it........and then sold it all and got Kyosho stuff.

The Assoc. shocks are horrible to work if you are coming from a Losi car, or even a Kyosho car. You have to disassemble them entirely in order to change o-rings. That was not fun.

Try this one out ..
Rebuild your Ae shocks , make sure the shaft & supension pins are not bent.
Then take your ride over to your bud`s Losi or kyosho and push the their chassis down.

then

You can & will feel just how much smoother the Ae is compared to those other`s rides...

I have 2 kyosho's and 2 ae's and you are sadly wrong the kyosho shocks are the smoothest between the two different brands especially when using the Kyosho X-rings.

Losi i couldn't tell ya don't have any.
