i got three shocks built already with no problems but this one is being a bitch. it's like the shock is over bored, the groove is in the wrong place, the clamp is to small of a diameter, or the total height of the spacers/orings is to tall. it has to be one of those reasons. i guess i'll have to buy a new shock assembly and go from there. since i've been building this kit i have been very disappointed in ae. it was missing some small parts and now this.

Yes there is. I don't know the number so you'll have to google it. Or search this thread. I've had the same problem too. Each time I put it together I cinch it down less and less. I've been good for the last couple of months. But it takes a pounding from all the pipes and other trucks I run into. LOL.

The 2005 WC setup seems to be the standard setup / starting point.

Front, 35wt #1's Browns, shocks middle on tower out on arm.
Camber link 1 washer, inside/inside -1* axle mid 25* blocks
Rear, 30wt #2's Silvers, shocks inside/inside 1 limiter
Camber link 1washer, inside/middle -1* hubs mid
Battery, middle or back.
Add 1.5oz. weight
1 bumpsteer washer on spindle black ballstud on rack.
24.5 mm ride height front and rear
Unscrew front shock eyelet .060 OR use the new .080 shock shaft with 1 limiter inside
More durable!
If you make slicks for the front out of tapers they will TURN!Thus the 25* castor blocks. The rear foam is paramount! IF it goes away no setup change will help.

Question, what is updated on the "U-braces" I see that it says that on the setip notes.
How do i get more exit steering? Shortening the rear wheel base? Or give it alittle front toe-out to give exit steering like a sedan?

Try softer rear shock oil. I think-27.5wt is all the heavier you want. With 30wt rebound might be too slow too allow good weight transfer.

Or heavier oil? the rear could be transferring weight too fast?? Slamming the weight over, not really controller it? Just a guess... maybe just try a quick spring change to see what it does?

Does anybody know if you can buy the set screws only out of the 7381 cvd rebuild package. It seems strange to me that I have to buy a 8 dollar rebuild kit when the only thing I am trying to replace is a set screw that came messed up with the kit. It's like its broken off or something, its only half as long as the good one and no place to put the wrench into it.

I bought a FT alum. thumb screw tc4 kit for the battery strap long ago..one was threaded, one was NOT! It was sent back and I was credited.
