My Pro-2 transmission is broke after less than 2 packs, what is the best/most durable transmission available? FLM? Will any 2wd Slash transmission bolt up to my Pro-2?

We run RPM case, STRC top shaft and AE slipper, FLM diff, Robinson idler in one truck. Not sure if the cvd bones from the Pro2 truck will be exact length at the outdrives though. What broke inside? The early ones had weak idler gears. Traxxas metal idler gear will interchange, and the metal gear diff set for the ProMT will work.

Oh, wait, you went with the splined axles, right? Those should work with any diff for a Slash

I haven't opened it yet. Can I run the FLM dif in my Proline case? Is it better than the Pro-MT dif? I'm currently running the Pro-MT axles.

That's a no-go. The Proline trans uses much bigger diff bearings. Crack open that case and see what's wrong. Probably the diff gear or idler

It appears that Proline isn't making parts for the Pro-2/MT, or they is some delay. Would a Slash transmission case fit my Pro-2? Would you choose the RPM case over FLM? I've read that RPM case is a bit soft?

The metal diff is Proline 6261-01 and can be had for about $13 on ebay. If the idler gear is bad, you can use a stock Slash one. The Slash trans should be a direct bolt-in. The FLM case is nice, but I wouldn't want extra weight hanging off the back of a rear-motor truck. I've used the RPM cases and have had no issues with them.

I like the rpm case because the motor runs cooler with the aluminum plate and the blue looks good on the blue lcg chassis. Color does matter. Lol

I got 38 laps Sunday with the Slash. That's better than the 34 I was getting.
It was my tires all along, the regular stock tires are too hard for indoor. You need softer tires. So I pulled the 38 lapper because someone let me borrow some very soft BFGs.

I bought the Traxxas aluminum bellcrank (3743A) to add strength and reduce slop to my Mudboss dirt oval build. Instead, it seems to have added slop. WTF? The part that connects to the servo is loose on the hex of the bellcrank upgright. Any suggestions to tighten this up?

I've used 4 of these at least now and never had an issue. Is the arm upside down maybe?
