@ QDRHRSE

Went with the 35/30 like you recommended.

Are you running the bump stops in or out?

Also, the gearing was based on another guy running stock with the Pro-2. Let me know what gearing you work out or reccomend.

I have no idea what the trans ratio is on the proline tranny. That's why I want to know myself. Regardless, it looks like you could run a 30 pinion, or bigger, with that 88 spur so it might not matter. Bumpstops....are you talking about limiters on the shock shafts?

For shock limiters, I'm running 4mm up front with the Team Associated clip on limiters under the piston heads inside the shock bodies.

The bump stops are the little rubber cones on the shock shaft.

I'm running the 28T pinion gear with the 76T Spur Gear once it arrives at my LHS, hopefully this week after I get back from sea. A couple of guys are running at my local track and love the gearing and another guy, Alex on RC Short Course, is doing the same and doing very well.

Once things cool down from all the purchases, I'll probably buy Lunsford Ti turnbuckles and the Pro-Line HA Aluminum ball ends to shave a couple of ounces. I think with that and a shorty pack the weight should be more than fine. I need a new receiver before that though. I hate the Spektrum SR300, but I don't have the cash to dole out for a $100.00 Futaba receiver for my 4PKS this week.

Having seen this in person, I could not believe how awesome it looked. The picture is good, but it doesn't fully capture how imposing the truck really is. Tremendous job and thanks for sharing!

Default MIP vs SCTE 2.0

I currently have two MIP setups with additional upgrades (khz uprights, tekno driveshafts, etc). Looking over the SCTE 2.0 specs - it looks nice - but I don't see any reason to upgrade from an MIP SCTE 1.0 to an SCTE 2.0. Anyone else agree or disagree?

I agree. Looks like they copied the MIP layout. But they still dont have the by- pass shock system. So as far as Im concerned they only did half the needed improvements. I have the MIP. I love it. I will stay where Im at.

Yes they are much quieter from many testimonials as well as from (Jason Ruona, Steven Hartson) that they are much quiter. And I can vowge myself that they are quiter. Also much much lighter I believe 50% lighter than the stocker. I have yet to see one wear out as well

For the ProLine PowerStroke shocks, you can use other companies shock travel limiters, since Pro-Line doesn't make their own or include them with the rebuild kit. The SC10 Limiters AE# 90154 or Losi Shock Limter Set TLR5096 both work fine.

The SC10 costs more, but I like that its a clip on style if you want to change it quickly.

thought about upgrading, looking at the new 2.0 it doesnt appeal to be better then the scte, mip solid aluminum servo mount, braces are 1 piece, I like the chassis layout and overall design as well. I will still run my mip, with upgraded towers, diff hosings, and call it my MIP SCTE 2.0!

How is 2.0 not an upgrade to the original SCTE. MIP conversion wouldn't even exist if it weren't for Losi. Don't get me wrong I think MIP has an awesome conversion, I just don't understand when people bash Losi.

And just for clarification, TLR and MIP were both testing the new chassis layout simultaneously. MIP was just able to come out with the conversion first, because it's just that, a conversion, not a entire truck. It would be cool though if MIP would launch their own 4wd Shortcourse.
