I gotta say, serpent hit the nail on the head with this one. This has been one of my most smooth build. They really go it right with the shimming and pinion shaft assembly. the other style was a bad design IMO, in which left slop which lead to gear skipping. I love very part of this car. everything went together smoothly. So dremel was necessary! YAH!

However, that nano-tech 5600 mah pack is in there pretty darn tight!

I was just about to ask if you got that thing built yet and whoooolaaa there it is. Looks great and you will love it on the track. What servo are you planning to use? Just curious.

I was going to use the spectrum 6040. However, I just picked up another ace1015. I have like 4 of those servos. I swear by them! Best servo money can buy!

Looking good.
Have you had it on a track with the transponder mounted on its side like that.

It looks right to me, working from left to right, 1 positive (red straight the esc), 1 yellow on the jumper (-) 1 red on the other end of the jumper (+) and the last yellow going to the negative on the esc, good job, very neat!

correct... yellow instead of black

its the picture that makes it look wrong.

UK.hardcore 12-03-2011 03:11 PM

it's wrong, jumper is in 2 negatives and controller in the 2 positives.

this way you can at best get something smelly.

Just wondering if you will have an issue with it vertical like that. Agama cars had it mounted vertical and the had issues. Just curious. I mounted it under the esc but it appears either I had issues last week on the track or the pc had issues. Not sure which yet.

Ya looks incorrect to me too. If those packs are the same then the jumper should be on the 2 inside poles + to - and the esc to the outside esc + to bat + and esc - to bat -

Wires the way it looks in the pic I doubt it will even work. The esc is plugged into the same + pole on both batteries (or - pole on both batteries)

+1 don't let out the magic smoke. Once it's out it won't work anymore, so it must be magic.

UK.hardcore 12-03-2011 03:19 PM

tought about it for a sec, he's got a whopping 0.0 volt now.

teeforb 12-03-2011 03:24 PM

If U look underneath the Esc moun tray, there's a place to mount the transponder.

Jpm1 12-03-2011 03:28 PM

All you guys need to zoom in on the picture, he's got it right!
