Any upgrades necessary?

Alum front shock tower (if you drive like I do) hard ano shock caps, webbed bladders, pistons of your choice, ti ni shock shafts, stiffer front springs and maybe 1-2 steps lighter for rear just for tuning, 2.5 front sway and 2.3-2.0 rear sway,a bunch if m3 locknuts and a bunch of m3 countersunk washers for bling, I think that's all I put on mine. The low roll rear toe plate might be a great option too

wont the alu front shock tower just bend?

teeforb 11-21-2011 02:48 PM

I'll be mostly running indoor. I may just do the m2c alum stiffener.

What's the max lipo height for the batter tray?

The serpent front alum arm is a lot stronger than their carbon fiber towers.

What I was referring to was different. M2c makes an alum brace that fits around the carbon fiber tower that makes them stronger. It's a cheaper alternative.

If you only ever use the inner three holes for the upper shock mounting, the stock CF tower is plenty sturdy enough. Its only when you us the outer two holes, and land upside down on the tower, that it'll break.

Where can I find a spring rate chart for the springs as would like to order a couple of sets to play about with.

Sigh, you can lead a horse to water....

One page back, post #693, shows how Frank L used a Racers Edge aluminum servo horn. I've done this as well, and it works good for me. A thinner horn arm would probably work better, keeping the stock link more in line.
