You mean the set screw on the pinion?
Just blue loctite and make sure you spray the screw and pinion coupler with some motor or nitro cleaner to get rid of the oil it comes packaged in.

Looking good porkchop

I don't want to hijack the thread for Tekin stuff. But losing a motor wire during a run is no bueno.

Any connection that can be eliminated is another possible failure point to eliminate as well.

Did some track testing this weekend tried the box setup as a starting point WOW way off rear super wiggly made some changes per Franks advice its not a typical setup from a regular buggy but it works. Moved Rear camber UP, Hubs forward, increased front droop, stiffer rear springs.

So ordering a extra set of stiffer serpent springs would be smart? I'm placing a order tomorrow so would be good to know. Also is it just the back end that would need it? I'm going to be running on a indoor med clay track.

Thanks porkchop, will do. I hope this isn't a dumb Q but does the kit come with a pinion? If not what would be a good starting point, mod 1 right?

It comes with a 16T pinion. The correct gearing depends on what motor and battery setup you're using.

Correct that's what I meant. I know with the s811 v1/v2 the way the pinion is secured to the coupler is a captured pin so just wanted to see if anyone had any issues with it yet.

I'm running stock 16/46 on 5200 50c thunderpower and it's pleanty fast and temps in the 170's after 10 min runs. The fan is on in the esc though. I might even drop to a 15 tooth but the fan on in the esc tells me I'm already geared low.

Frank L, I see in your set up sheet that you have used the 2mm off set wheel hex's. Do these widen the track by 2mm? Might be stupid question but just wondered.
