Matt
Don't over tighten the screws with the composite spur gear. Its easy to pull the screw right through the gear in down into the diff cup. Ruined my first composite gear and a diff cup this way using a power screwdriver.

Been searching, whats the difference between the 811E and the 2.0 version? Can it be upgraded really matter? Might have found a good deal on a 811E.

Thanks

Yes it can. Absolutehobbyz.com has the full 2.0 rear end conversion in stock. I'm still racing a converted first gen car. The other change is the new style diff internals which I'm not convinced are a must have upgrade. They are nice but I don't feel I'm getting beat by anyone because they have those gears it's only cause they out drove me.

Awesome thread and awesome car, you guys have me convinced.

A couple questions first, hoping you guys can answer.

- I know the 811 2.0 is the their current best but with a hectic life ect, embarrassingly I've been attracted to RTR's as of late.

About a year ago I picked up a thunder tiger mt4 and love the fact that I can just take it out every now and then and bush the hell out of it and break nothing.

And while I love the building and never ending upgrading, for now those days are over.

I'm wondering how the RTR version of this car compares to the full on 2.0 roller and would I just be better off sucking it up and getting the roller, BL/ESC/control separately?

If the rtr is high quality and rugged like the roller, I would just go with that. If not, I'll just get the roller.

I've been in this hobby on and off for about 22 years and its always great to see a beautiful design like this serpent!

Appreciate any help and insight gents.

If you want to go racing i would get the 2.0 roller for the fact you will have to upgrade the rear to the 2.0 rear end. THe 2.0 roller has better material for the outdrives and driveshafts. After all is said and done you will probably pay more to upgrade the rtr then if you would have started with the 2.0 roller. If you just want to bash or are on a very tight budget the RTR is a good starting point.

Went yesterday to my first race with the ebuggy. Dominated from the start! Buggy wad dialed after some minor changes with the shocks. The Tekin 1900kv/rx8 was awesome. Took 1st on Amain!! Also placed the truggy on the podium at second place!

Hey guys, I'm having trouble with my wing mount. I'm new to the chassis. Had my wing fall off in the first race. Put on a new mount and wing. I bought the low profile wing mount, a proline wing, and used M3 x 15 screws to secure with blue loctite. Wing came off again in my second race. 2 for 2 now, hoping someone has a tip. The screws are pulling out of the wing mount every time. Other than that this buggy is amazing.

Make sure you have the two locking nuts in place below the wing mount where the screw goes in.
