A couple things on the straps. I am sure there are some variances in the thickness of the batteries. On mine there is about 2mm gap between the strap and the clip when you press down on the strap. A couple things you can do. One is use a small plastic washer between the clip and the strap, the inner diameter is 6mm. Or you can use a little foam pad under the strap, like the foam that is under the battery, to take up the extra space. If you have an extra thick pack then you won't have any problems as long as it fit with the stock battery doors.

The other thing is as usual carbon has very sharp edges. It is good to lightly sand and round the edges and run a bead of thin CA around the edges to seal them. The front hole on the straps fit a little tight. May need to ream out just a little and chamfer the holes so they are easier to get on and off.

I think thats it. :-)

Looks phenomenal, man!!! with that beautiful of a body, I'd definitely consider getting yourself a practice body to run with, during practice rounds and qualifiers... Looks just dead-sexy, Joe!!!!!

Ps, before you reamed those holes for the body, I would've suggested Velcro its okay tho.. Still looks great man!

Oh and let us know how those Duratrax Shotguns work!! I'm hearing A LOT of different people loving the new Duratrax pre-mounts!!!!!!

I agree with how nice it is, to just remove two clips, and they both swing out! I think on both sides, I'll put a clear hole-punch reinforcer around the mount post holes, on both sides of the strap to keep from causing the gritty swivel marks, that you'll get from over time

Oh and a nice tip on battery removal for either the stock battery doors, or these new CF straps, I'll be posting later to share with y'all! plus it'll help with your battery management a little

Edit: here ya go

Thanks for the kind words buddy.... Yea, luckily I still have the body that came in my kit, so that one will be the (rattle-can quick 2 color fade) practice body for sure...... ... I figured those DT tires would just be for some practice tires, but that would be cool if they actualy work decent..

Reguarding the velcro....I think many years of touring car racing (with carbon fiber chassis, and nowhere to attach velcro) have made it to where I just can"t get used to using only velcro, ha ha...but I will be using a little piece on each side for some body protection,

Hard to say, Probably would need to go with a car that has 16mm shocks and use the shaft and pistons. I would say Xray or HB, I think they both use 16mm shocks.

I know Losi won't work. OD is bigger.
