What was your slipper setup prior to the center diff? And did you put a light coat of clear ae grease on the diff balls?

rickybobbyxxx 01-05-2012 12:43 PM

Prior to ball diff i was running stock slipper with garodisc pads, 30k in front diff 7 k rear, only thing i changed was the ball diff

Definitely drop at least the front diff oil. Thicker front diff oil gives you more on power steering as does thick rear diff oil.

How is the car on the brakes entering a corner?

When I get on the throttle a little more than a quarter of the way it looks like my tires really start to "ballon" and then offcourse my truck wants to spin out and loose traction. Will thicker diff fluid help?
I am currently running 5k rear and 10k in the front diff.

Also did anyone ealse have the promblem where you are constantly adjusting your steering trim, the steering servo stays centered untill say I hit a pipe then I would have to adjust my steering trim again. Anyone have this promblem? I will take the truck apart and make sure it isnt the servo.

Have you guys tried playing with the throtttle.curves so its ramps.up.slower?

I just got a new radio, Airtronics M11x. This thing is serious LoL.

Either your servo horn is loose or about to.come off or your servo mounts are loose.

What is your slipper situation?

I had that issue with my servo saver and found that if I added a touch of black grease to the faces where the servo saving happens it helped. On mine the servo saver would stick a touch left or a touch right if it gave in either direction.

rickybobbyxxx 01-05-2012 12:54 PM

Braking seems ok, sounds like chads having same issue as i am, truck just seems generally out of control, im wondering if i shouldnt go up a couple teeth on the pinion gear, right now im using 14 tooth with tenshock 550 4 pole and its only temping 150 after 15 min, maby that will calm the torque down, and def go down to 10k in the front

JEFFs SC10 01-05-2012 12:59 PM

Wouldnt you want to go UP in weight for more on power steering?

Exactly, he has too much steering and the back end wants to come around.

I am running the basket with a high tourqe pad on the inside and 2 standard pads in the basket. The nut is not even flush. It seems the spring will be locked down if I run the nut flush.

Thanks for the tip on the servo will give it a try and see if it helps.

So heavier in the front???? Marcus is recomending. 10k front, is that not right?? This is very aggravating

I had that exact same issue. I found that the brackets that hold your servo in place weren't tightened all the way. I also didn't have my steering end points set correctly so when I turned the wheel all the way left, it would flex the a-arms and shift the servo slightly left. Then shift it back to center when I would turn all the way right. Check those two first. Put your truck on a stand and turn it all the way left/right and see if the servo moves. If it moves, tighten the brackets. And make sure your a-arm doesn't flex when you turn all the way left/right.

No, thinner in the front. You said you had 20k in there, right? Definitely drop the front and if it's still bad drop the rear down to 5k.
