I only carry the Drill and leave the impact in my real toolbox at home. It rests ontop of my springs kits in the top of my box.

It's absolutely the Godsend of... Godsends when you work at a Hobby Shop and have Cars come in 5-6 times a day and they want it 'now'.

Looking into getting a new esc for my truck........ should this one suit the sc10 4x4 well with a reedy sonic 4.5 550 motor?

+1.

Buy a mainstream ESC. If it goes bad, at the least, you can get it replaced. I would suggest the Tekin RX8, or the Mamba Max Pro.

I went with the Tekin, just in case if I bought an E-Truggy.

I've got to pick up some Double Dee's for my truck. Falling behind because I don't have any!

And BTW, Blake. For that price, Just go get a Sidewinder V2 and strap a fan on it. Even a dinky Sidewinder is 10x superior to a HobbyPartz piece of shit.

If you go with that, You won't get any help from us, because we buy quality. (not trying to be a douche', only trying to warn you respectfully)

Friend's been running his RC8T-E forever on his MMP. I was confused but he said on the 4S it still works great.

Hitec X2 200w. The 60.00 pays for the Support and quality.

Edit: Support being: Something's wrong, take it in and swap it out. Or Talk to an American in Texas who mails you a new one.

Mizchief 01-01-2012 11:24 PM

Support is nice, but when you can get something for half the cost you can afford to have a spare instead :) much better to have "instant support" sometimes

That's Bad business and inside that logic is what is keeping jobs in China producing that crap.

Edit: Sorry... but that logic is what is destroying the "Local Hobby Shop".

If I could rely on my LHS having the parts I need in stock when I need them, such measures would not be required, but for me that is never the case.

I do buy good equipment because most of the time it's not viable to have spare quality parts around and I don't want to DNF due to equipment failure, so I buy the good stuff to begin with. But, when you can get something that works for you at half the price, and your not racing so it doesn't matter when it dies, only that you don't want to wait 2 weeks to get something fixed, cheap backups work well.
