Because the ONE GUY who is selling these on this thread is doing it for cost of materials plus $2. He posted how he made it for anyone who would care to:

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...m/cf8d0b21.gif

And DIY it themselves. Frankly, I'm suprised you guys aren't building your own. Gyro Hobbies down the street in Lake Forest has the correct .240 ID carbon tube in stock, and the rest of the hardware comes right out of the parts bin you have downstairs. Billy gets $30.

FWIW, I no longer live in SoCal and don't have 'good' hobby shop within 60 miles of where I live (I have a hard time getting the carbon tube or music wire), so I tried to order one of Billy's pieces. I was given a unacceptably long ETA because of "demand", and that was after waiting a couple of days for a response via email. I posted my experience, and another user sent me his left over carbon tube and I built my own in about 20 minutes out of random leftover parts I had around. My brace is posted on this thread, somewhere, if you'd like to look at it.

Thank you for sharing your opinion, but as you've presented nothing to change my mind, I'm unable to share it. For the record, Billy's products are fine and I'm sure he's a nice enough guy, and the point is moot anyway. You AE guys will have a factory supplied deep pocket spur and a stainless steel disc in a couple of months for $6 and that will be that.

I think we should make a policy that if you have a gripe/drama take it to PM.

Lets keep it civil and technical. I for one would love to Chris Jaroz from AE participate more in our discussions. It would be cool if some of the other sponsored drivers from AE came in here too. I'm sure they know this thread exists. ;)

I completely agree. As a representative of AE, you figure he'd be the first guy to bring the tech rather than fuel the drama fire, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Had he sent me a PM or called me rather than post it in a public forum in the first place this would of never seen the light of day.

+1, this is a great form but certain members in this thread like to think they are the say all when it comes to it. If you disagree with done thing state it once and say why, if you feel you need to discuss it more take it to a pm. Nobody wants to go through 3 pages of banter of why you think someone is a crook, and technically it can be considered slander.

Truthfully if mtk wanted to he could of copy wrote the basket, but he didn't so game on imo.

To get this out of the way: I have searched just can't find it.
For the HR diff case, are these decent? Not worried about wobbliness because that can be shimmed but its just a matter of time before I strip a screw hole in the stock plastic one.

I agree, seems like this thread is popular enough to have moderator help us out and get these arguments moved to a new thread.

I am always here to answer questions, however it seems that there is very rarely something new asked and it seems like everyone on here knows all so there's not much for me to do. If anyone ever has a question post it, I'm more than willing to help.

I have brought the tech. Lots of it. Not fueling the fire, just defending a company. As for sending you a PM, my bad, I figured it would have just been posted anyways. As for calling, I don't know who you are, much less do I have your number.

ummmmmm, I don't know about "bringing the tech". I've been here for a while and I haven't seen much "tech" being "brought".

In comparison, the SCTE losi thread, has a some serious "factory" support. I would like to see that kind of support here, but "oh well".

We'll do it ourselves, along w/ all the fighting that goes along w/ it....

Shameless Promotion...

To help get this conversation back on track...

We have released some new wheel hex hub spacers to use with 12mm Hex hub Cars/Trucks.

http://www.reflexracing.net/assets/i...RSDX005_02.jpg

I have always seen the SC trucks like big touring cars that jump. This is the main reason why I got into them, since I am an on-road, touring guy at heart. Using hex spacers is a nice way to adjust your track width on the fly. You can make your truck wider overall, or wider at one end or the other on the fly.

I have been playing with different hub spacing for a while now. I tend to like the truck with 1mm wider spacing at the front than in the rear. It makes the truck almost identical width this way. This really helps out on the high speed sections of tracks and on bumpy tracks. It allows the truck to be more aggressively driven going into turns.

Another plus is that it allows you to widen up your truck with wheels that are not the Hazard +3 wheels.
