I'm not sure about every one else but I love mine. Very high quality and good specs at a decent price.

The sc10 4X4 steering is real fast and twitchy and the the 1258tg made it even worse. I have since switched to the 1256tg and have found that it calmed the steering down considerably. It made the truck more drivable. Now I have added the ACKbar by Mantisworx/RCShox. The tuning options now are great. I put the 1258 in my sc10 2wd which could use more steering speed. All works out.

What pinion would you suggest for the sc10 4x4 running the stock 32 pitch spur gear with a 5700kV motor?

For someone that's just starting out is 30 wt for all four shocks and 10,000 for both diffs good?

They work perfectly except that you must remove the stock shim otherwise the diff will bind. By themselves the remove almost all of the wobbliness of the out-drives.
Thanks for answering my question.

Pinning the top shaft has been tried by quite a few people, and what it does is tie the two slipper plates back together. It provides the rear with two slipper plates it needs for acceleration, but now the front is tied to the rear, and can't spin at a slower speed when it needs to, like when it turns a corner.
But don't you have the front clicker to help the front end? Doesn't the clicker act like a one-way and allow the front wheels to spin faster during off-power turns?

So my track is hard packed clay with dust/sand on top. I'm thinking I should go with a pinned top shaft and lock the clicker down.

I don't think anyone is running the clicker lol. The advantage to it is running it like you say as a 2wd to corner harder but the truck corners plenty good, almost too good.

So would you recommend torquing down the clicker all the way?

Question. I ordered the garodisc and looks nothing like the website picture. It has holes. ??
Also do these pads last for a long time? Thanks

Yep that is how how pretty much everyone runs it including the Pro Drivers.

Lots of really good tuning tips here on this thread. Just do a search in this thread.

Also MantisWorks has great aftermarket products that enhance this truck.

good luck and enjoy.

I don't have garodisks so I can't really comment, but the material is supposed to last a long time.

I'm getting the new center diff which eliminates slipper pads all together.

BTW it's 80 degrees here today, not exactly Xmas weather.

Center diff? Can you post a link on the info if possible.

Switching to saddle packs. So deciding on which saddles is the hard part
I attached 2 links to 2 different packs. Did anyone use either one of these lipo's?

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...ddle_Pack.html

http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-25c-4800-2s3p-saddle.html

Is this all I need to convert to saddles?

ASC9775 - Team Associated Factory Team Lipo Battery Tray (B44.1)

ASC9706 - Team Associated Battery Post (B44)

ASC9786 - Team Associated Carbon Battery Strap (B44)

ASC6292 - Team Associated 4-40 x 3/8" Flat Head Screw (6)

ASC89229 - Team Associated Blue Countersunk Washer (10)

And by looking at the saddle pack thread most people are running the packs "inline" instead of side to side in the chassis? Is there a difference between the 2 in performance?

I do run the clicker 24/7.
medium sized hardpacked outside clay track, medium traction. no big jumps very fast and technical with lots of sharp 180 turns

Chad , the inline changes direction left to right more responsively or quicker...
