Do you have the black metal end cap on the slipper spring going the right way so it sits in the spring. I know I did that at first and caught it when I couldn't tighten the nut all the way down and it would slip.

Thanks, this is what I was looking for in this price range. I was searching for a compact hex driver, but the only one I found was the makita. I like this much better. Mainly b/c of price.

Check ebay, I just picked up a brand new ryobi for 21 bucks shipped......

Can't wait for this weekend to finally run my sc10 at the track........

What gearing do you guys recommend for the 1410 castle motor on a small indoor clay track, as well as the timing etc etc........

can you use the v2 slipper spring from the FTSC10?

Here is a pic of mine...

Build went great ...took about 3.5 hours .... No problems, just followed the instruction to a tee. I bought the Ryobi drill 2 years ago and love it. It was on sale for X Mas for $19.99.

The v2 spring looks too skinny and the washer is on correct. I am at a lose.

Joe, take your slipper and thrust assembly apart, then post pics of eeach stage of the build. Hopefully someone cans see what is wrong. Either your doing something wrong, your missing a part, or something was machined wrong. Ill help you any way I can.

Very clean wiring.

Somehow i ended up with one extra piece after the build. It looks like the side wall on the esc tray but i cant see anywhere in the manual about it. Probally just missed it somewhere. Can someone fill me in on my stupidity

You're not stupid. That part is used if you don't use the esc tray I believe.

No heat issues at all... It will handle up to 4S with the 550's without a fan.

They come mounted with the caps.
