I finished mine last night except for the bumpers. Build was fairly simple. The only thing that I am concerned about it the tensioners and the screws (stripped tip off top rear one) for them. It was a little complicated and I hope they hold up. My kit went from bag A straight to bag C too. I thought I was missing a bag for a few and was stressing but found everything in bag C.

Drove it around just breifly and the first thing I noticed is how well the car handles breaking. Its crazy. Cant wait to race it on Sat.

I will hopefully have mine tomorrow after work. Time for my favorite part of RC the build. Has anyone ran the Neu-castle 2400kv motor yet? What pinion did you use? Also have a 3800kv castle on the way. Got some bow ties, suburbs, hole shots, and sniper tires on the way. With 3 sets of KMC rims too. Going to run a 5000mah 35C 2s lipo or a 4000mah 20C 3s lipo.

Got mine yesterday. Found out that AE left out a piece of my kit, part of the belt cover. Gave them a call and they told me they'd get one out today. Snail mail that will take 3-5 business days to get here.

So far mixed feelings about this kit. The build is fairly straight forward except for the servo installation. Everything seems solid but now it sits on my workbench taking up space until next week.

I bought this one from Sears, but got it for $35. I use Hudy tips but cheaper ones will probably work just fine.

Works awesome.

Thanks Craig, I'll have to check that out on my lunch break tomorrow. I looked the Makita up that you see Richard Saxton using in all the videos and the damn thing was $200 bucks. I know Makita is quality gear but I just dropped almost 9 bills on this truck and all my new goodies. Amain needs to hurry up and get my Viper ESC delivered so I can finish my build.

Check out Amazon for the best pricing. Couldn't buy them locally, turns out Amazon had the best deal.

Spare Lipo was included as well.

Has anyone run a Tekin 4.5 on a med to large track yet? Running a TC Spec v1...was gonna start with a 13. I know the manual says 12 but my brothers had no top end with it. He was on throttle profile 4 and didn't have time to bump it up and try it again. I'll work on it but I figured I would see if anybody has a similar setup running.

Was making good progress on my kit, was 3 hours in when I hit my first issue. One of my rear outer hinge pins did not have a threaded end to screw the locknut on to. It was too late to call AE as it was 9pm est. So I figured I could just move on while waiting for that part. Well the next page is the shocks. When I opened the bag everything was coated in silicone as one of the shock caps had a major crack in it and leaked the contents in the bag. I thought the diffs were supposed to be filled (mine were barely greased) and the shocks empty? A quick search of the bags and I didn't get shock tools :weird: Minor stuff but def annoying as I'll be waiting into next week for replacement parts :(

Well i just got back from the track!
I ran my truck on a large 1/8th scale track today and my motor got really hot.
I temped it at 155 but that was after cooling for 3 minutes. I am running a 13t pinion on an sc4x 5.5. I think the belt was slipping and I thought I had made it as tight as it gets. The handling was awesome! I think that if I can get the temp down and power to the ground(belt slipping) I will catch and pass all the local losi and durangos. if any one has some thing to help me out with the slipping of my belt that also sounds like my truck has a rev limiter I might ad please post it so any others and I can start winning on the track!

Almost done building mine. Seemed like all my screws were tough threading in but i suppose thats just because it was the first time. Cant wait to race it!

Can't say for sure whether there might be something else going on, like something else dragging on the drive train causing issues, but I do know there is a belt break in process mentioned in the manual. That might be worth looking into.

Steve a one piece carbon tray that spanned the length of the chassis in place of the receiver box and short esc tray would be awesome. I want to able to pull the esc, receiver and transponders off all on one tray. That would be great for cleaning!

I tried it both ways but I may not be attaching the sensor cable properly. I am gonna hit it tomorrow and solve this problem!

No extension needed for my savox servo and rx8 fits fine. A few pages back someone posted pics of same setup.

What about the other questions?

The reason I ask is because I can't tighten these bleeder screws much without the tiny oring squirting out.

my bleeders don't even have orings
