He saved me the time. Do this. Also, try some different tires as suggested. I run calibers front and gridirons rear when I run at competition hobbies in Tucson. Super hard packed, smooth, and high bite clay.

Am I the only one who thinks the threads on the cartridge don't exactly match the shock body? What a pain...

Also, since they didn't come with the emulsion seals I'm gonna try the bladders. Do you guys leave the bleeder screw out?

If you read back about page 400-500 you will see that no the cartridge doesn match up. It you take off the first 1/4 of the thread on the cartridge, you will have no problem.

As for the shocks, they should come with some, I know mine did. I would suggest not running the bladder style shocks, stick with the emulsion style. If you have to wait, then wait. But if you really wanna run the bladder style, then by all means, do so. And yes, you can leave the bleeder screw out.

How do you run emulsion style shocks what do I need?

You take out the bladders that are in the sock caps and use the square type o-ring that came with the kit. Bleed the shocks like the standard AE shocks

I had no problem switching to the ft shock bodies and shock shafts using the origional shock cartridge assembly. I did however have problems with a set of new shock cartridges, they would not align when screwed together. I called AE, and they had me send them in, then they promptly rreplaced them for me.

I personaly prefer emulsion style.

Yes but our thread has more helpfull people in it. I asked a question on that thread and took more than a day to get a answer back. If I ask a question on this thread look back in 5 min and you got a answer :nod:

Also we can run 10+ min mains and finish the race. That to me makes this truck alot better! :lol:

Actually if we combine the sc10 4x4 saddle pack thread, and if the original thread didn't get locked we'd have more then double the post counts as there is now

I had planned on building them emulsion like I did with my stock shocks. Kinda disappointed there isn't any seals in the kit. Front or rear. Oh well, off to rob the stockers.

I did end up getting the cartridges on, it just took a little more work than I thought it should. Good thing I'm so patient... ;)

I haven't seen many good things about the bladders, when would anyone use them? Smooth flat tracks with no jumps?

Yeah, but if you notice that everytime we make an actuall post, they notice it and post some bs like "+1" and that's it.

What effect does shimming the front camber mounts do? Is this shimming by the shock tower or near the hub?

I might be running a hard packed dusty surface this weekend.
