I was the first to tell you guys
how to make a chassis brace in the first place .....
While this is a nice looking solution I don't think it will help as much as the others. I am an engineer and it is clear that this will not stop most of the flex. The brace needs to connect as close to the input shafts as possible to control belt tension. Sure does look good though.

I tried a brace that went from tower to tower... it split the carbon fiber rod into about 6 pieces. I think the leverage from tower to tower is too much.

you dont want the tall ones, they make the truck handle horrible.

Jay, its crazy how much a simple adjustment makes, i dropped 2 seconds give or take along with the camber decrease and STRC hubs!!

Is this guard just for bashing or ? What is the purpose, to keep dirt from getting on the arms and bearings?

I'm the guy that first knew & posted about the flex problem with the belt.

Ti rod does work just as well as the other's , yes it can still flex just a little , not enough for the belt to get any excess slack however ....

So would you say that the flex is reduced enough so you can loosen the belt to reduce drag? If yes then maybe I need to consider this. Some flex is good I agree.

What are your tensioner settings and pulley sizes?

Only flexes a bit more than the shaft and I don't recommend loosening the belt for either braces ....

Use the factory tension settings

To me this guard it to reduce the load of dirt that fills the shocks and halfshafts. This can happen a lot on loomy tracks. I am moving to a place that has more loomy tracks so I hope to pick up some of these ASAP!!!

OK. Are you using the 20t pulleys front and rear? Are you on the middle setting or higher?

What I do like about your design is that it is simply a Revo turnbuckle or push rod. That is cool!

What is the part number?

So the rod Wild Cherry is using looks like a Revo Push Rod. Cherry is it this one:

Are you still running the pin mod with that? I like that set-up but not with the pin mod.

I plan to stick with the slipper as well.

I will try your design, Wild Cherry. I'm getting the pushrod from the link above. I will post a photo once I try it.
