I havent been around in a while so forgive me if this has been asked

Does the non-hard pack turnigy lipo from hobby king fit in this truck? My hard case turnigys wouldn't fit.

I've set my RC stuff aside for about 4 months and I'm just starting to get everything cleaned up for the season. Its been 110+ here for a few months

I want to buy the truck and use my old castle Sidewinder for a while. I know some people arent a fan of cheap batteries, but I'm using an old well used motor and esc for the time being

Thanks

Sidewinder won't last long, and the Turnigy batteries don't survive.

ThunderbirdJunkie killed one 5000 20C Turnigy and 2 5000mah 40C batteries with a Castle 1410 and a Mamba Monster in this thing...

Go figure, his Venom 5000 30C was fine.

Yes but Thunderbird Junkie refers to himself in the 3rd person, something most people outgrow by the time they are 6, so that illustrates how much attention we should pay to Thunderbird Junkie!

Thank you all. I'll go with the 30k instead. The 65k/5k just didn't make any sense to me, I know you want the front to be heavier than the rear but that's a huge difference.

I'm curious as to why this weight? Is it to make the front diff stiffer and take stress off the clicker? I haven't started my build yet due to how much work it seems to be to take them out. So I'm trying to figure this out and save time.

All I use is the turnigy 40-50 c 5000 hardcase batteries and they go well . It is a bit of a squeeze to get them in and out by flexing the belt cover a bit but it can be done.

Any ROAR Legal 2S will fit fine. Even if it's a couple mm longer, higher, or wider, it will still fit. You'll have to remove the foam though.

The reason for the thicker fluid in the front is to settle down the front end. If you have driven the truck before, you would know what I'm talking about. This tuck is very responsive to steering inputs. The thicker fluid tames it down a bit. But dont worry, the truck still has plenty of steering left. Im running 30k front and 7k in the rear, and still have to dial my dual rate on my transmitter to 75%
