i guess im lucky 2/3 tracks i go to are clay. i definitely agree that the sc10 4x4 is fastest and truly shines with consistent smooth driving. hard agression will get you nowhere on this truck. keep the calmness when passing or being passed. i learned this the hard way at practice. i spun out many times when passing.

you only need 1.5 2.0 and 2.5 bits for the whole truck. no 3.0

ThunderbirdJunkie only uses his 3.0 on his Savage where the 4mm screws go into the bulkheads, where do you use a 3.0mm driver on an SC10 4w?

ThunderbirdJunkie wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole.

Have you ever driven a vehicle on the street with a spool? They handle like shit.

RC cars will be no different.

great in a straight line tho !

agreed, have you played around with the clicker? also i think if you drive it less aggressively and smoother it rewards you. I'm working on shock positions and running 2.0 piano bar wire all around with 35/30 oil in the shocks.

i've played with the clicker a couple different times. I actually liked running the clicker with the Overdrive pulley.....liked it around the corners and exiting them. However...i kept popping the belt off, even with tightening the tensioner. But then again, it was at the track, so i didn't take the time to adjust the rear tensioner first, then the fronts. In the end...i just switched back to the 20T and locked it down. Might have to look into that again. I just switched out my rear shock oil to 30 just now...maybe try 37.5 front? LMK how the shock positioning works out for you.

Which would be awesome if the only turn an SC10 4w had to take was at the end of the strip and onto the return road:lol:

front spools are great with on road TC's. great power out of turns and good braking. i dont know if it will apply to off road though. a few of AE's racers are running 60k front diff fluids. that's pretty heavy and close to locking.

Thought u were talking about hex drivers. Most of the cap & button head screws on the 4x4 are 3mm

can you point on which ones on the sc10 4x4 use 3mm? i have yet to use a 3mm driver on anything.

Have you driven an SC10 4x4 with 50k front diff oil? ThunderbirdJunkie's truck will NOT steer AT ALL with 50k. The truck drives like a stock Stampede.

ThunderbirdJunkie is talking about hex drivers. The screws are 3mm OD thread, but they're 2.5mm drivers that put them in, unless they're buttonheads or 2mm/2.5mm screws which take 2mm drivers, or setscrews that take 1.5 mm drivers.

I stand corrected. Thanks for clarifying Mr. Junkie. :D

all I have been running in my front diff has been 50k . It still seems to steer pretty good but am I missing out on something ?
