I need some help here. Last night I drove at my local track (large 1/8 track). The car performed really good overall but... on the largest jump I always got some severe nose diving. The jump must be taken at a high speed and I was almost forced to hold full throttle in the air (from jump to landing) to not land on the nose. I'm having 35/30 AE oil in the shocks and lengthened the shock by two turns. What is the solution to avoid the nose dive? Put heavier oil in the rear? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Stand up the front shocks. That should fix the big jump, tune for everything else on the track.

I was having the same problems...I raised up my ride height and moved my battery right to the back of the chassis and now my truck jumps much more predictably.

That sway bar set up is the same as the others posted on AE's site ... everyone seems to be using the med sways. I've had much better luck setting my truck up to my track and not using those set up sheets, guess I will find out race day.

I would like to nicely comment that lowering the roll center gives you more roll, not less.

Yes I want more roll, I'm not racing on a high bite track so if the truck cant roll it does nothing but slide.

If any of you guys get a chance i would put jonny / clint's set-up on your truck. They have done alot of testing over the past week during and after the shootout to work on a better set-up for this truck. His truck looked awesome at the end of the test session. I know some parts may not be available yet but, be patient they will be available soon. We will be testing this truck as much as we can and getting this information out as soon as we can to help you guys out.

FYI on the plastic chassis pulling through problem.

3 transmission washers (ball stud washers) fit in the hole perfectly.

Saddle Pack Set Up

Hi Everyone,

I've been racing a Durango DESC410r and still love it to death but I went out and got a sc10 4x4 to do some reviews and comparisons.....I was bored and when I was at the showdown up at trackside I noticed Brian Kinwald was running saddle packs so I went ahead and installed them in my ride....here are a few photos....if anyone knows what front springs Kinwald was using that would be a big help.

I just used the stuff from my B44.1....I may even add more holes so I can shift the batteries toward the rear more......also if you notice I'm using screws under neath the belt is because I dont plan to remove the battery strap...I'll just remove the other side and then slide the pack under the belt over and pop it out....I tested it and it works great.
