Could the front sway bars be the same as the rears?

If any AE driver could comment on this, I'd appreciate it.

Front and rear sway bars are different. The bar has a different bend to it. The hardware is the same.

This is a real design flaw. Use some Shoe Goo. After you put the pins in use a little dab on either end to kind of seal the ends. Also, put some on your hex pins before popping the hexes on After doing this and running dirt a few times everything seems nice and "sticky".

I'd be interested to know what either people are doing with their slippers? How tight or loose or you running them?

Yes very poorly designed indeed...

Tekin RX8 vs. Mamba max pro

Im getting an SC10 4x4 soon. I plan on putting the new Tekin Pro4 motor in it. I would really like to put in the RX8 ESC but I already own a NIB CC Mamba Max Pro so I don't want to spend money that I don't need right now. Can I get some opinions on the Mamba Max Pro in the SC10 4x4? Does the MMP have a motor limit?

Never had my pins come out. I am careful to pay attention when I remove my wheels as not to lose the pins. Its the same with the B4 and T4

I am running the MMP with the 3800kv motor and it does very well. Nice and cool. I am running 16/62, and have set the timing at 30*. The fan has yet to turn on the MMP. I am also planning to get the pro4 motor and run it on the MMP, as long as the software and sensor don't have problems i think this esc should do fine.

People with a Tekin SC4X 4.5... what motor temps are you getting? With what gearing?

I run the same set up, it works great. Fan never comes on on the MMP, never temps over 100.
Just a heads up, castle doesn't recommend adding timing to a sensorless motor. I called and spoke to a fairly knowledgable person there (forgot the name), and he basically said you get about 2% more power with 5-10 degrees of heat per every 10 degrees of timing added (sensorless). I dropped my timing, no noticeable speed difference (still ungodly power!) and down from 150s to 130s.

Have any of you guys balanced all four corners of your truck??? Running a gens ace 5000mah 40c battery, with a hobbywing sc10 esc/castle 1410, the front left corner needed a little over 2oz to get it close!!??

ya i noticed similar, i had to add 1.5oz to my setup to get it to balance out

Running SC4x 4.5 with RX8 outdoor track 13 minutes, outside temp 22 C , 12x 62 p48. esc touchable (2 led on temp )motor bit warmer but touchable sorry no temp sensor but if you can touch is all cool bananas.

+1.I put a dab of CA glue on the hex so it wouldnt come off. I happen to think it is very well designed, they allow debris to be ejected rather than collecct and wear out the end of the pins.

Does that body pin mean you have an inner body? I can't find those in stock anywhere! Where'd'ja'geddit?

I dont have an under body tray for my truck, I just use those two posts to carry extra pins just in case I lose one or two on the track.:D

Thanks - Will definately monitor temps closely until I get the right gearing down, specially when I finally get the SC10 4x4 on the track.
Hopefully in the next couple of days :D
I will try without swaybars on the first track run and see how it goes.
btw - which pinions are you using (Brand and type)?
I'm using RR Absolut hardened 48p pinions. It has been working good so far.
But the width is definately much smaller than the spur.
Which 48p pinion (Brand) would have a wider width closer to the size of the spur?

Im using the same pinions you too. I like em. Im guessing the associated brand pinions might be same width as the spur but I havent tried them.

what is your full setup on the ESC including software version?

What servo are you running and radio gear as well?

I have a fan on my SC4X 4.5 and I run a TC Spec V1 esc with throttle profile 6.
Med/large indoor clay I run 13/62.. after 8min I am around 135 on motor and esc is barely warm to the touch.
Large 1/8 outdoor track I ran 14/62...after 8min the motor was 160-165 and esc warm to the touch. It was about 90 deg that day.
