Is the guy that runs RC shox a regular to this thread or is that the exotek guy? I don't see a " contact us" option on the RC shox Site and am looking to ask them what size spur comes with the center diff kit, and if the diff balls are the same size as ae ball diffs. (3/32). Looking to try the C diff out.

The rcshox owner is Mantis and he comes on here every now and then but he is not the same as the exotek guy...... The spur usually comes in 62 but I believe you can request a 60 if he has them in stock, and the center diff balls are 3mm (I think lol)......

Oh and associatedvalley you have a pm

You've got it backward... the diffs ship with the 60 tooth spurs but you can get 62, and the balls are 4mm, not 3mm.

Not -.8 or -1.2

Looks like -2 degrees to me. Each small line is 1 degree, each big line is 2 degrees, 5 big lines gets you to +/-10 degrees, but I could be missing something.

If you go to the rcshox website there is an "email me" link that is addressed to:

[email protected]

From past experience he should answer in a reasonable time (with a reasonable answer).

No, your right, that is what I was running indoor last (sticky track), outdoor I run one. Guess my mind was stuck on one cuz that's what I'm usually at in & out. 1° increments as you said.

He also (at least, in my experience) answers very quickly to PM's on here.

For that rear top shaft I got in that was bent, Got the car fully apart and it was just the threaded portion and I bent it back. Any issues with doing that someone has epxerienced or should I be good to go?

Cain, that should be ok, time will tell.

This IMO is one down side to running the center diff, lots of stress on the threads, and shaft, as there done up so tight.

I am assuming your running the ball diff?

Yeah, I bent mine as well but just bent it back. Hasn't caused me a problem yet but I do have a spare just in case.

I'm half joking, I figured you knew how to read the scale just fine. Your point is well made, though; it's a precise camber measurement.

I am, but the guy I got the truck from, well ... He likes to make sure things are really torqued down, this was with the VTS setup he had,but he never ran it from what I can tell.

Push comes to shove, probably get a regular one.

Default Transmission Lube

What, if anything, are people putting on the transmission gears before closing up the case?

I saw a thread which mentioned heavy shock oil, pledge. What about a touch of black grease or green slime?

I feel like I've used shock oil and Associated black grease in the past (not for the same rebuild) and it was okay, but want to hear some opinions from people.

And one last thing, no pressure, but I'm ready to close up the case and want to get cleaned up before the kids get up from their naps, so answer now SVP!
