way too loose & looks like the pinion has issues as well .bet its a bit noisy

After setting the mesh its a good idea to recheck a few times.

Rotate the spur around a 1/4 turn, then recheck mesh to make sure nothing is out of round .

I may be wrong so others can chime in. Your mesh looks okay but the teeth on your pinion gear look mangled and deformed. Compare them to the shape of the teeth on your spur gear. That could be the reason for your gears wearing out in a couple of runs.

Truck is missing a front chassis and rear shock tower right now lol. I'll find an older one.

just use the paper trick for setting gear mesh.

Darn USPS missent my package but hopefully it will be ready for Sat. I broke the rear shock tower, stripped out the front skid plate mounting hole, and stripped out the front hinge pin block screw holes.

IMO, that last picture you linked is a tad to tight. I looks like one ogf the teeth are bottoming out.

look at the plastic spur tooth going all the way into the pinion. maybe it is a shadow, but that is what I see.
