They are 6000mah 25C (wont fit without mods, 30mm tall) or 4800mah 25C (25mm tall).
I ran high quality solid bullets when mine melted.

I currently have a redline SC4x 4.5t motor in my truck.
Wondering if anyone has run these and what they think of their performance.
Need to get an esc for it as the one it came with is a sensorless esc and the motor is a sensored one.
Looking at the Hobbywing XERUN SCT-PRO Sensored ESC.
Ant thoughts on how the SC4X will work with this ESC?

Lol. Did you puff those in your 4x4. 25c is to low. What motor were you using

I prefer the 1/4cut solids to the bird cages too :)
Much more contact area with the solids.
They have to work better ;)

I use that motor. I am running 14/62 gearing and it runs about 145 with my esc. It is a good motor. As far as the esc well. I am using an lt4 but I wont recommend it nor will I discuss why. I would look at the 150 amp dualsky. They seem good. The mmp is good if you dont use a savox or any other high amp esc. Stay away from the tekin. Also dont to get into that argument

Going to use my ACE 14.5kg aluminium case servo so that shouldnt be an issue :lol:
Tekin is out of my price range so staying away is not hard:D
Will check out the gearing on the truck atm.
So you not a fan of the 120 HW for the SC?
Price is good if it does the job.

rx8 is the boss right now, but one of those brushless hobbies esc's might be pretty decent for the price. i wouldnt count on epic support from hobbywing as they are chinese

itchy b 07-27-2012 04:27 PM

Here is the ESC the truck came with
http://www.modelflight.com.au/team_l...o_LOSB9557.htm
Works fine apparently but with a little cogging on take off as its unsensored
Price for an RX8 here is in the $260 mark

My v2 assembly is LOUD. Is anyone else's like this? I assembled per the instructions.

just found out I toasted another receiver.. gahh.

just rebuilt rear diff. put 5k in there, has almost none in there. no more clicky clicky noises. ;)

SOuthernFRIED 07-27-2012 07:00 PM

My v2 is pretty quiet. You assemble with pins trailing balls?

What are you doing to toast rx's????

ABN Hoosier 07-27-2012 07:14 PM

I just ran my V2 for the first race this past Saturday. I am cleaning the car right now. I took off the gear cover and everything is fine. My was quiet as a mouse, except when it screamed down the front straight like a raped ape...:)

Has to be your mesh or maybe you have one of the blue plastic washers on backwards. My guess.
