hey guys havent raced in like 5 years but i have settled in this year on a factory team finally after a durango, so my questions are below thank you in advance on any help

track is outside clay with dust traction is like gridirons, and such goosebumps.

when cornering the rear is swinging out and i roll onto the throttle and that will pull the truck straight again. is that what i am looking for in term of fast lap times? these are some hair pin turns 180 or do i want to balance and try a different approach. i could try 2 degrees of camber that would prob fix it.

my other question is i am running kinwalds set up, 20k front diff and 7 or something in the rear. is anyone find running 30 grams of weight on each side of the servo weird. i hate adding alot of weight. any opinons on that

Went back to the Cody setup from the bk setup last night. Felt good a little more stable. After a while I dropped to the blue front sway bar from the highest yellow (2.2). It felt a little softer and not as stiff. Wanted to roll less.
I like it again and I'm goin to stick with it for a bit. It pushed more than I like but I AM now running baldies all around. So I think that's why.. Haha.
The only difference is I have sticks rather than saddles :(
However I have spent some time and I am pretty confident that my truck is balanced left to right.
Feeling good. And since I cut the camber links to do BK's setup, no problem going back to Long position. They were still more than long enough

I currently own a Slash 4x4 RTR version and I am getting ready to buy a SC10 4x4. I was wanting to know if this is the best way to buy this truck?

At Tower Hobbies you can buy the Associated SC10 4x4 Brushless 2.4GHz RTR for $399.99.
It says you get a "Free SC10 4x4 Factory Team Upgrade Kit with SC10 4x4 Brushless 2.4GHz RTRs. A $69.99 value for free"... I am also a member so I get another $50 off the price.

Or should I buy the Factory Team SC10 4x4 Kit?

Thanks again for your time!

well if you want to get running and save money, get the rtr with upgrade kit. But you will need swaybars and they are $20/set and I think they come with the FT truck.

Truck is officially dialed! (For me anyway, you guys may hate it, rotates on a dime but consistently so it is easy to catch)

the tower rtr comes with the ft upgrade kit, only thing that it wont have is "bling", ft shock bodies, aluminum hexes, and blue turnbuckles.

Wildcat1971 08-07-2012 04:07 PM

Does it have sway bars?

ryanpatrickgore 08-07-2012 04:12 PM

yea but the electronics is what im talkin here.....
sway bars a must too.
and the blue aluminum...
i havnt spent any money on the factory team except shock and diff oil. plus you get to choose the RIGHT tires for your surface

ive had alot of rc cars.. one think i learned.
get the badass kit or you will always be wanting it and dumping money untill you get it.
then somebody will ask, "is that the factory team?"
then you can say, "yea sick huh?" instead of , "no but i converted it"

ballin..

Do you have to have Saddle Packs to fit in the FT Version?
