I'm running on a track I've never been to before and won't have much practice time. So in general will the 8mm help or hurt on this track, regardless of what it does.

Thanks! I'll mess around with it a little while I am there but I'm doing maintenance right now and just want to know what the most likely option is.

I got the optional rack on last night. I have not had a chance to drive it yet, but it "looks" better. The wheels look more parallel. I also add the yellow spring up front and the 8 mm "mod" on the rear. I had to really shorten my front and rear linkages for the rack and mod. Hopefully the track is less crazy now.

Man that track is really small. I bet you will be doing like 25 laps on it........

Evil Genius jr. 07-06-2012 06:45 AM

lol I know!
I'm aiming for 8 laps in the 5 min qualifier. 38 secs is a blistering fast lap for SCT 4x4.

Wildcat1971 07-06-2012 06:59 AM

lol, yeah. That is a big track. And it looks like yellow dirt. Is that clay?

Evil Genius jr. 07-06-2012 06:59 AM

Yup.

Well it's been fun. I've enjoyed all the tinkering with the sc10 and feel it's a good truck but not the fastest ride for me. Sold both my chassis' and will be moving on. When I need a laugh I may come see how many puppies WC has killed and how many people are told to use SEARCH option without being answered :)

Good bye! Best of luck with the "other car"!

Larry

i would go for the 4600kv.. plenty of torque and top end too.. runs smooth and cool.. never got it over 160

Tekin's Pro4 are not known to run cool. They actually run on the warmer side, but do just fine at those temps. That said, excellent motors, and the 4600 is a lot of motor.

I would run the 8mm mod, I have been running it everywhere and liking it.

Okay thanks! However I can only run a max of 3.5mm of spacers on the inside (all I have) will that be okay?

I feel you on that. I'm a Durango guy right now. Still got my sc10 4x4 and might make it an outdoor truck. I might sell it. I just hate how much work the sc10 4x4 need.

Btw I have saddles for sale if anyone is interested

Wildcat1971 07-06-2012 09:38 AM

Well I tried to sell my sc4x4 and no one wanted it, lol. So I am trying to make it work for me. I dont need to be the fastest guy at the track, I just need the truck to be enjoyable to drive. I would love a Losi or durango, but no spare parts around here for the durango and well, I dont have a losi, because i cant sell my SC4x4, lol. I really like the 8th scale style that the durango and SCTE ten used. It cool that AE did their own thing, but I used to race 8th scale and I like the center diff and the chassis layout better.

I got my truck dialed up right before I bought my desc410r. The only reason I bought it bc I got a new one for 250.00. My truck runs great but the desc410 is another machine.
