I need to get some pinons for the 5mm shaft of the tekin so waiting for those before I can try it. I have a Hobbyking 120amp ESC in the SC10 and love it, it should run the Tekin motor no problem I hope.
I'd like to hear from anyone who has run both motors so I know what to expect from the Tekin, I like that it will be sensored but is it really any better than the CC?
It will have a little less torque than the castle but will be much smoother. The sc4x 4.5 (13t) was my last motor that I ran and I liked it. Then when the sensored 4 poles came out (pro 4 & tenshock 411) I changed the motor.

Ae v2 slipper is dialed I have to admit , could still do the same with the old one though. But with less power maybe than My new Reedy.

My original brace was good enuff also & still have 1st brace on for good luck, just in case ....

Get those RPM arms on pronto !

I don't think I have ever been behind , rather setting the pace ....

KJohn , A real good time , really enjoyed racing the Sc4x4 last night with you .

I will pick up a set of RPM arms and see how it goes. Makes sense on high bite like TRCR the stiffer arms would improve the trucks handling. Would not hurt to have a set when needed.

The RPM is still not as stiff as we need on high or low bite .

They are about twice as stiff as the Ae arm though and as a result the truck is a lot more consistent ...

You put the Ae rear camber mod on yet ?

Kind of. I have an aluminum rear hub with a screw down carbon tab. Like what AE has for the buggies. My test part I don't think goes as high as yours does though. I need to make some taller ones to test.

I ran my FT kit yesterday and it is a pretty nice truck. Coming from Losi I expected it to have more steering, but WOW. I had to back my d/r off to 80%. Ride hight is key to this truck. I set it at bones level and it was too high. I found that just below suited the track best for me. I am curious to put it outdoors here soon... so far so good. I may actually have to try to take steering our of the truck as to tighten up the rear a bit. ( this is on a clay track, outdoors will be different i am sure.)

Default Esc choice

Hey I am making the switch to a pro4 4600 and wanted your guy opinions on either a hobbywing or rx8 for esc and what the pros and cons are. Also will there be a power difference.

RX8 IMO

Pros for HW:
Cheaper esc
Cheaper programming card

Cons:
No warranty
No customer service

Pros for RX8:
Outstanding customer service
Great warranty
Prob. one of the most popular esc's out there today

Cons:
Little bit more expensive as well as for the programming card.....

So IMO I'd def. go with the RX8, they offer a 6 month warranty and even if its out of warranty and something happens to it tekin will fix it for a cheaper fee then buying a new one.......

Can't say which one will give you more power since I've never owned the HW one, but with my RX8 pro4 4600kv motor I have all the power I'll ever need and that's even with the settings very low (timing, etc).......

Default Thanks

Thanks for your quick response. I will look at the rx8 while I wait for some other opinions. Another question I currently am having a real bad push off power. My basic setup is 2 stage pistons 25/25 wt. v1 center diff yellow front with blue fronts on the rear, exotec chassis. Front links on inner tower with 2mm washer. Rear is outer on tower inner on hub with like 5 or 6 mm washers under ball studs. Any suggestions?

Default Travel

My travel is limited up travel so I don't hit the diff out drives, and on the rear the shock ends are turned out 2 turns.
