Don't you have better things to do than whine? Build a bridge and get over it.

do you have a better things to do besides talk about yourself on a rcsite?

Seriously, the only thing you are doing is complaining and making ridiculous comments on this thread so how about you enjoy your day off and go chill out instead of waisting forum space........

TBJ, how have the temps been on your motor/esc? I'm going to try the 2400kv castle motor just to see how it performs against my 3800kv motor.......

Wild Cherry 05-24-2011 11:46 AM

On Topic Please....

I'v been searching for the list of parts from Ae for building the sway bars ... Was told to Google & FaceBook yet still failed to find ....

Anyone have the link or list ?:tire:

Don't waste your time with the 2400kv, yes I've used them both.

The scte ones will fit, you get can get them for about 10 bucks on ebay for front/rear...........

Not sure on links to build your own, but there have been several users on here that have, hopefully that can provide you that info.

May I ask why? There's a guy that uses it on his scte at my track and hes had no issues with it at all.......

ya the 2400 is meant for 3s and 4s and requires alot of effort to get it to perform like i require my motors to
i wouldnt waste your time on it like i already did

like i said before the motor needs more cowbell

The 2400 motor IMO is more of a bashing motor not racing they are made more towards the 3s batts instead of 2s, there are better motors to use that are cheaper too and able to get more speed, like the 1410 or 1406 and stay cool, ive been running a 3800 and my esc fan never turns on in my rx8. the motor gets alittle hot but works great.

I think I had this problem, and it was because the shaft that goes through everything wasn't lined up properly (the hex on the shaft wasn't inside the hex on the bottom half of the saver.)

Pre-compress the spring, make sure that you line up the shaft properly, and it should go on, but it will take a little bit of effort.

I did compress the spring a few times but still pretty stiff. Finally got it by putting the servo saver on a desk & pushing down with the nutdriver.

The 3800 has better speed/longer run times/and never gets hot if geared correctly, that good enough? Again, I've used them both and would take the 3800 over the 2400 every day of the week.

MM seems to be getting a little hot, motor is in the 130s? Running a 15t Robinson pinion with the kit 32p spur (62 or 63? whatever it is). Mind you that's after a whole pack, and after about 12 or 15 minutes the battery only took 3300mah.

ThunderbirdJunkie believes gearing up may help keep the speedo cooler, but mind you this was only one run, and the belt may be a bit tight. The speedo gets warm quick, FWIW.

Thats cool, but I am still going to test it out for myself just to see how it is... If I don't like it then the 3800kv goes right back in, that good enough :D?

Have you tried changing the belt tensioners? May help to put less stress on motor/esc.......

Yeah, they're set looser than the instructions specify during the build. The last belt drive car ThunderbirdJunkie had was an RS4 Pro 3, though, so he may even be running the belt a little loose.

But ya know what they say, loose is fast:smile:
