I've seen a couple of the set up sheets mentioning adding weight to the front left on the chassis... Is there a reason for this? Perhaps to level out the weight of the car? Someone more knowledgeable than I please answer...

It brings the truck to 300mm. 4mm too wide.

Can anyone tell me if the CVA pins are a regular AE part or specific to the 4x4? I am missing one and would like to pick one up at the LHS if it is a regular part. *hoping* I don't have to order one!
Thanks in advance! |

Would this step be used if I'm using emulsion set up on my shocks? Remove the upper X-Ring, #91055

No. They are a little bit longer. I looked through the parts from all the manufacturers at our LHS and didnt find anything that would work. We had to order the stock replacements, they come in a few different bags of parts.

Don't think the 19T pulley is what your looking for , you would get even more steering coming out of the turns, also steering will feel faster or more reactive.
The 19T pulley best use would be on really small & tight layouts like you find indoors.... I ran both the normal and overdrive this last weekend at our very dry local track. It did help to have the overdrive in to keep the truck strait coming out of corners and going down the straits. |
No lube on slipper thrust bearing?
When I built my truck the manual didn't call for any lube on the slipper thrust beariing part # 91090 . I didn't put any lube on it(wanted to for sure lol)
Anyone have any input on why or why not there should be lube? Part is cheap so no big deal but it just goes ahgainst my better jugement :) |
I would think that black grease should be used, and will put some on mine (if it ever comes in :()

Anyone use the new air flow bodies yet?? Do they really work??

91090 was not machined well on mine either. I had to run a drill through it to clearance it enough to fit over the shaft.

Was able to get to the local track last night w/ my new SC10. I'm running, SS barcodes, castle 3800/14t pinion, loose clicker, stock set-up. The track is med. size indoor, high bite surface, Real RC in Blue SPrings, MO.
All I can say is WOW! This thing is awesome. Puts my old Jammin to shame. My Jammin had won quite a few club races, so it wasn't a slouch. This SC104x4 turns like nothing I've driven. I'm pretty sure this truck will add a lap to my count over 5 minutes. I'm going to go up to a 15t pinion, I built some sway bars, and I'll race it on wed night. I was running the clicker loose as well. I'll report back on the lap times and race results. If you have a SCRT10 and are thinking about going to the SC10, rest assured that the AE SC10 is worth every penny and out classes the SCRT10 by miles... |
