Builtrc through eBay has them. I ordered a sc411 4000 through Mike @ CKhobby yesterday largely because he is so helpful and you can actually get him on the phone where as builtrc doesn't have a phone contact. I talked with Mike yesterday and he said he should have the sensored 4600 in any day now.

I really coundnt be happier with mine, it has crazy power and never gets hot, even geared with 16 tooth pinion it never gets over 140 degrees, just dont use it with maxamps batterys, it will puff them

What batteries are you running it with?

Cain 03-16-2012 09:24 AM

can you replace the wires on the tenshock at all?

sorry, but do you mean he ran a 550 and it was dialed or he ran a tekin pro 4 and it was dialed? I'm in the same boat. Trying to plan out my setup ahead of time.

What are your thoughts on running a 550 with an exotek chassis? would that balance out the jumping more?

thanks,

I've used a novak (5.5 I think) 550 and now have a pro4 4000 and I like the pro4 better. Smoother and near unlimited power for what I need. I would probably go with a pro4 4600 if worried about the extra weight vs. a 550

I have heard the "90C" rating is really just a burst rating similar to maxamps true C rating. If that is true, then they are probably 45C packs at what we know as C rating. I am not surprised the turnigys if they are true 65C continuous are as good or better with an additional 20C over the orions.

Def. get it through ckhobby. Mike is an awesome guy. They have been back ordered so long because of the Chinese New Year, but they should be getting pretty much caught up now. I just got mine this week and I'll be running it on the track for the first time tomorrow. I was using a loaner Pro4 4k, and after I installed the center diff I wanted more power. I'm starting with a 12T pinion/64 spur and it absolutely screams up and down the road. It has a little more drag than the pro4 also, which I like and kind of missed from my old 1410.

I opened mine to check first thing when I got it, I'm not brave enough. Probably better off dying them.

Cain 03-16-2012 10:53 AM

thanks. main thing I was looking for was to run shorter wire setups.

Too bad they don't make a version with tabs you can solder to.

I ran different batteries, I switch over to the Orion 90c batteries. I can tell you I felt the difference between Genace 5000 50c, thunder power 5300 65c or Venom 5600 60c to my Orion 5500 90c batteries. The Orion battery had a bit more burst then the others. IMO ...... everyone is different
