SC10 4x4 Thread
Winning races are the results of a good driver & a great ride ......
Common knowledge
If a set-up works , it works for anyone not just one person ....
Cody & Ryan has way more set-up experience than anyone that post on this thread cept maybe Chris J. ...
So how can you even think using their knowledge & track savvy "just fine" ?
Ahhh C-on ....
BTW
I'll say a prayer for you tonight for the R/c gods ....

As for set-up experience on Ryan and Cody....of course they do. They eat live and breathe RC Racing. They also have TONS of Track Time. Its what they DO.
If a world class driver with a killer set-up were to hand me his car and tell me to drive it I could NEVER, ever come close to his or her level. Most people couldnt.
That being said, having a basic starting point is important. BUT, no two drivers are alike in how they prefer the "feel" of their vehicle.
Broad Strokes on my part? YES...I need to sleep at the track. Too bad the "real world" gets in the way of that. I have to settle for having fun....after all is said and done, I thought that this is what its all about.

WC, you are making some pretty broad statements. No one setup could EVER work for everyone. All drivers tend to take a different approach and have different styles. Some like super responsive steering....others turn theirs down. Some love to drive tail out....others will drive through the turns.

I just wanted to add my two cents....even though I dont pray to the Gods of R/C

Opinions are just that.....and we all have them. I dont happen to rub elbows with any team drivers or claim to have any special talents. I just like to get out and run. I have fun....We all need to have run to get away from everyday stress. If and when I were ever to get PAID to do this I would then have to be MUCH more serious......lol. Never gonna happen.
Im happy to get out there and see what I can do.....R/C isnt all about winning races. Its about seeing what you can do and more importantly to me at least , It tests a person on many levels. Some guys like to wrench....some just like to bash. Imagine how many future "mechanics/technicians/engineers" got started just by trying to have fun? They may have never had a killer setup or a great vehicle either!

Keep painting......
My world is much nicer since I put a few users on ignore. However, I must admit - lately I've really been digging on the Hanford Jack:

I used to race with that guy (THE CHEESE GUY) 20 years ago. He always had the best stuff, and was always off the pace by two laps. What up wit dat?

Saying that you setup a truck for someone is like me saying that i built John forces motor and he won with it! OR my dad will beat your dad up!
I am done, not going to get sucked into another one of these pissing wars with you. good night
