My shims are 5mm x 10mm x .2mm. I believe that the stock shims are either .15mm or .2mm. Mine are spring steel instead of stainless steel and are quite a bit harder (like Rockwell C34 vs C2).

You do need to hit jumps with more thought than your avg 1/8 setup, think of it more like a 1/10 (ohh wait it is a 1/10 ;P)

This is my basic setup for anyone who hasn't given this a shot yet I highly recommend Casey's basic setup with these changes

FRONT - 37.5wt, stock springs, stock discs, NO SWAY, droop 89, and ride hight at 27mm.

REAR - 27.5wt, silver springs, stock discs, 1.8mm sway, droop 101mm and ride height at 28-29mm.

-AKA enduro 'soft' for pretty much any condition outdoor
-SC10 stock tires for our indoor offroad work best ***I do reduce droop a lot on our indoor offroad track
I'm curious to know what type of track your running this setup on? I'm looking for a good starting setup for a 1/8th scale sized track with medium to high traction? Thanks

Even with a dual stage esc like the rx8 that runs sensorless at higher RPM's, the only way you could get the effeciency he is claiming at least out racing is by gearing low, or taking out a ton of torque out in the esc, thus making it even less comparable to the 1410. The book maybe re-written soon though with the launch of the newer tekin 4pole motors.. I'm pretty excited for these bad boys.

one time i got like 14 minutes out of my 2200kv 5k 4s lipo but i was babying it
in my truggy. so like you stated it could be he wasnt putting it to the limits. do you run the lvc lower than 3.2?

No better place to race in the east.. imo of course. There are lots of great tracks and shops, but CRC is tops for sure.

on that track, 8ight-e and the other top drivers run 16 - 17 laps in 10 minute main, averaging 33-34 second laps. unlike me, running 40 second laps and getting 12 laps

i'll get there though. running with guys much faster than you are makes you better.
