Default Adapters to use 8ight springs on the Losi TEN, SCTE and 810 trucks

Hey guys,

I am making a run of adapters to put Losi 8ight springs on the TEN series trucks. The adapters use the stock collars on top and the 8ight spring cups on the bottom. The 8ight springs come in a range that is perfect for the TEN. The stock TEN black front springs are 3.9lb/in. The TEN Gold spring that the factory drivers are using is 4.3lb/in. 8ight springs start at 4.1 lb/in and go up to 5.6lb/in.

The adapters will be $10 per set (FOUR shocks) plus shipping. Shipping will be $5 per order for Priority Mail. First Class to Canada will be $5 per order.

You can now order from my new website: Click here for APE-RC.com

Note: You will need the following parts to complete the installation:
Losi 8ight lower shock cups - LOSA5434
Losi 8ight springs - Recommended Silver Front and Red Rear or Green Front and Silver Rear.

Thanks,

Chris

I need to get a few solid pre-orders before I commit to buy the parts. If you are interested please reply below with the number of pairs you would be interested in.

Thanks,

Chris
Is this just a thicker threaded alum adjust nut? How much weight does it add vs stock? You have to use the 8ight lower spring cups I assume?

Does the 10 include all 4?

Thanks

This is an upper spacer that uses the existing collar.

The bottom uses the 8ight spring cup. There may be a spacer needed to keep it from rocking.

$10 covers one pair of shocks. I'm trying to get the price reduced.

I should have more info to post tomorrow including pictures.

Considering I've got an 8ight-E 2.0 and a full spring kit, I'd be interested, but I have a question. Will they be knurled or have some type of channel in them to keep the spring from moving around? Would this be only to use the 8ight springs on the rear of the SCTE shocks, or would they fit the fronts as well?

Pictures added to the first post. I wound up making a bushing to keep the lower spring cup centered. In order to use it I had to cut the little knob off the shock end.

With this setup you will lose the ability to run boots, but most people I've talked to don't run them anyway.

Chris, those look absolutely awesome bro!!! Will these be able to be used on the rears, or just the fronts?

I don't have a pair of rear springs to check right now. The diameter should be fine, but you might be tight on the length. You could always clip a coil off the springs if they are too long.

I will try to pick up a set today and put them on the rear.

Well, lookie here. The 3.1" 8ight rear springs are exactly the same length as the TEN springs. I bought a set of Silver 2.8lb springs and they match the stock Black 3.3 lb Ten springs almost exactly.
