Someone who knows how fast this is standard with 2s lipo?
Would it still be fun to drive in the garden with this on 2s?

How fast it is depends on your motor, esc, gearing, battery and setup. Aside from all of that, most racers are running on 2s. I've clocked mine at 47MPH on the street in my race setup. If I wanted to just play around somewhere, I could make it even faster but then you gotta watch temps. Oh, and obstacles.

I think it would be just fine. From what I understand, they designed the RTR with 2S in mind (for track competition). For romping around the yard, it should be fine as well. I am running 2s in my SCTE and I am testing things out by romping around the yard with it.

With the rtr and a 2s lipo with at least 50c with have it going fast enough to get flying around fast enough to get in trouble in a small area.

I managed to cartwheel my SCTE today. It cracked me up and I was scared at the same time that I trashed something.

I gotta get the center diff mount soon. I have the chassis and it off sets te motor mount so the drive line is more straight and it helps with efficency so the motor mount would even make it better!

The king headz chassis has the holes for the motor mount offset a little bit so the drive line has less of a angle.

I ordered 2 Value Hobby GForce 6000mAh 2S 50c batteries today! Cant wait for them to show up! If these batteries work out pretty good, I might order some of their 70c elite series for a few bucks more later on (currently back ordered).

I also have some AKA Racing Wishbone tires and wheels on the way thanks to Derry!! My Castle field programmer is due to arrive on friday so it will be fun programming my Monster 2 with it. Gonna be another busy weekend with the beast! I am going to pick up a 14 tooth pinion for my motor and get a temperature gun too.

I was eye-balling those Value Hobby's packs. Hard to beat the prices if they actually perform up to par. Looking forward to reading your impressions.

I am very curious about them too. I wanted their 70c packs but they were all sold out and expecting them to show up this weekend. I decided to go with the 50c and give those a whirl. My Monster 2 ESC needs at least 50c or greater to get the full effect of the ESC/motor.

I also ordered one of their Power HD servos. I am being brave and giving it a shot. I saw a couple of reviews on them and they were up to par with construction and operation. The only thing that was brought up was that it didnt snap to center perfect (very close to perfect) but everything else was great. If i am driving, snapping to center is not going to be noticed going over any kind of terrain. I can dial that in a little bit with a radio.

My servo to test: http://www.valuehobby.com/radio-syst...hd-1501mg.html

For racing, that servo is pretty dang slow and the torque is overkill, IMO. If just bashing then it is probably fine. Do they offer something a little quicker around the same price?

I found this one for a little cheaper. 153 oz-in torque and .13 response @6v. I cant argue with the specs on the Power HD seeing they are dirt cheap and they beat the OEM Losi one i am temporarily using (came out of my XXX-SCB).

I dont plan on racing just yet but this servo will work for me to get by playing around on a track and out in the yard every now and then. If I get into full blown racing then yes, I will go with a different servo (name brand).
